Punjab to Build New Classrooms in Schools
1,139 schools in the province will get new elementary classrooms constructed by the Punjab government. This project has a 250 million rupee budget.
In order to meet the increasing need for better learning environments in public schools, this project intends to fortify the infrastructure supporting Early Childhood Education (ECE).
The idea calls for giving Rs. 250,000 to each chosen school so they can buy learning materials, furniture, and books.
The government will pay school heads directly to create ECE rooms, and it will be their responsibility to finish the construction by the deadline.
In the past, Punjab constructed 209 ECE classrooms in Lahore alone, out of a total of 5,000 classrooms throughout the province.
The government donated ECE kits three years ago, but according to recent assessments, 80 percent of schools currently have damaged kits.
To guarantee successful early learning, school administrators have demanded the immediate delivery of new ECE kits.
The latest action by the government is expected to improve early education quality and provide young students with better resources and facilities, according to officials.
The Punjab Education Department recently discovered that 1.8 million kids were enrolled in government schools around the province.
An estimated Rs. 50 billion was lost by the Punjab government each year as a result of the enormous fraud.
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the education department collaborated to identify the problem.
