Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, led the Pakistani delegation to Education World Forum 2025.
In order to turn their involvement into real educational improvements, delegates pledged to develop strategic alliances with UK institutions. They pledged to work more closely with the British Council on curriculum reform, digital education, teacher preparation, and the development of young skills.
To enhance teacher training and capacity building, they also looked into potential future partnerships between Pakistan and the Scottish Government.
"Education is essential for young people to be able to fulfill their potential and lead fulfilling lives," stated British High Commissioner Jane Marriott CMG OBE.
It is necessary for prosperity, productivity, and growth. My pride lies in the long-standing collaborations between the UK and Pakistan to enhance the quality of education for underprivileged females and children. In order to improve education results at the system level, the UK is providing technical assistance and funds for new research.
It brings me great joy to witness the enthusiastic involvement of a robust Pakistani delegation at the London-based Education World Forum. We may enhance educational institutions, discover potential, and promote mutual development by working together, as this is only one example.
James Hampson, the British Council Pakistan's Country Director, stated, "We are pleased to endorse Pakistan's attendance at the Education World Forum. Being able to tell Pakistan's narrative to a worldwide audience in London was fantastic. Although Pakistan faces significant obstacles, progress is being made, and we are prepared to support its success.
According to Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education & Professional Training, "Real progress requires skills, critical thinking, and digital readiness — it demands more than classrooms." Developing students into competent leaders for Pakistan's future is our goal.
"At EWF 2025," said Faisal Khan Tarakai, Minister of the Elementary & Secondary Education Department, KPK, "we reiterated our common belief that education is the bridge to equity, climate resilience, and innovation."
