On Tuesday, the Ministry of Federal Education said that it would enlist the aid of a US-based academy to implement Khanmigo, an AI-powered tutor, in the capital city's government middle schools.
"With the added benefit of promoting learning in Urdu, this creative partnership seeks to offer students individualized learning experiences," a press release stated.
It stated that teacher training programs would be introduced, giving them the tools they need to help pupils make the most of the AI tutor.
Students will be given access to customized learning resources and tools on the Khanmigo platform after teachers join the team.
In an interesting, interactive manner, the AI tutor will assist students in filling in knowledge gaps and reinforce topics while allowing them to learn at their own pace. This project could completely transform education in Islamabad by increasing accessibility, enjoyment, and efficacy. With the Ministry's backing and Khan Academy's experience, educators and learners can anticipate more creative and welcoming classrooms.
Khan Academy is a US-based company that was started by a Muslim from Bangladesh, according to an education ministry official. In collaboration with the education ministry, its office in Pakistan is offering free services at schools that have IT labs. According to the official, almost 50% of Islamabad's schools have IT labs.
