The Class 9 Islamiat exam will follow a new format since board officials have modified the paper's duration and assigned 100 marks.

A significant change for the 2025 exams is that the Islamiat mandatory exam for ninth-grade pupils will now be worth 100 points. All schools have received formal instructions from the educational boards on this upgrade.

The Punjab Textbook Board has provided a practice paper for the Islamiat exam to help students prepare, so candidates will have three hours to finish the test. These sample papers have been posted on all educational boards' websites.

Prior to the recent modifications, both the Islamiat and Pak Studies exams were given for 50 marks each. This would give students a more thorough assessment of their understanding of Islamic topics.

This year's Matric examinations will begin with the Arabic and History papers on March 4, 2025, and conclude with the Punjabi exam on March 25, 2025. Exams for Class 9 will begin in English on March 25, 2024, and the final examination in Punjabi will be held on April 18, 2024. The holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr will fall between March 29 and April 4, 2025.

Please be advised that the practical tests for both the ninth and tenth grades will begin after the middle of April.

Maryam Ki Dastak

On the other hand, the app "Maryam Ki Dastak" now has a newly added self-service option, and it has received over 74,000 service requests thus far.

At a meeting held at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) and chaired by Faisal Yousaf, the chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), it was disclosed.

A total of 28,000 of the 74,000 online applications have been completed satisfactorily, and another 25,000 are anticipated to be addressed in the coming days. In addition, more than 87,000 youth have signed up to be Dastak facilitators in order to help citizens access services.

The recently introduced self-service option enables citizens to select a Dastak agent for assistance or to go directly to the appropriate department to submit their applications.

Faisal Yousaf underlined that this feature, in addition to making the procedure easier for citizens, offers young people a special chance to register as representatives and earn extra money.

40 districts have successfully implemented more than 70 government services under the "Maryam ki Dastak" project. No longer needing to attend government offices, services including FIR copies, birth certificates, and domicile issuance are now available. By using the Dastak Doorstep Delivery App or by contacting the helpline at 1202, citizens can access these services.

By lowering administrative barriers, improving convenience, and providing individuals with basic services at their doorstep, the program is changing lives, according to Faisal Yousaf.
