MPhil Eligibility:

Anatomy	At least 16 years of studies (M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.S (4 years)/M.Sc.) or equivalent. One year House Job Certificates as recognized by PMDC/PMC for M.B.B.S/B.D.S. degree holders. Foreign graduates must produce equivalent certificate from PMDC/PMC/UOK. Valid PMDC/PMC Registration. Candidates seeking admission in Clinical based MPhil (Pathology, Physiology AND Anatomy) program must hold M.B.B.S. degree, while for all other MPhil programs at least 16 years of studies are required.
Microbiology	At least 16 years of studies (M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.S (4 years)/M.Sc.) or equivalent. One year House Job Certificates as recognized by PMDC/PMC for M.B.B.S/B.D.S. degree holders. Merit List:

• The admission will be granted on the basis of Test and Interview by the Departmental Research Committee (DRC) of the concerned department. Guideline for Interview marks are given in Annexure-I.
• All candidates will be required to appear in the Entrance Test 2025, conducted by the Education and Training Section, JPMC, Karachi. This is mandatory for all the candidates.
• The test shall comprise of the following sections:
• Section-1 Subject knowledge 80%
• Section-II English and Communication Skills 20%
• Candidates will be required to score at least 50% marks in each section to be eligible for consideration for the interview.

How to Register

Application Process:

• Application Forms will be available from the Accounts Office of J.P.M.C. on the payment of Rs.5,000/- for (admission form including entrance test fee).
• Candidates have to submit completed forms along with their required documents duly attested by a Gazetted Government Officer (Grade-17 or above).
• Candidates who are Government Servants in Medical Colleges/other Institutions/Universities should apply through proper channel, while submitting advance copy of the application, that must reach us through the Executive Director's Office, JPMC, (for information only).
• The Provisional Offer letter will be issued only to the first five candidates who are on merit list in respective subjects. Admission is liable for cancellation, if fee not deposited on time.
• Then the admission shall be offered to the next awaiting candidate on merit list.
• Forms will be issued from Accounts Office, JPMC, Karachi after appearance of advertisement in the press on Sunday 01-06-2025.
• Last date for submission of Application Form is 25-06-2025 and to be submitted in R & I Section at Administration Block of JPMC between 09:00 am to 02:00 pm.
• Initial scrutiny of documents will be done by the respective Departmental Research Committee (D.R.C.) before submission of admission form in the Education & Training Section.
• Admit Card will be issued from the Education & Training Section on 04-07-2025.
• Entrance Test will be held on 10-07-2025.
• Result will be announced on 16-07-2025.
• Screened candidates will be called for interviews on 24-07-2025.
• Payment of first year fee has to be made at the time of joining.

Documents Required:

• Attested copies of the following documents/certificates should be attached, while submitting application forms.
• Four recent passport size photographs.
• Matriculation Certificate and Marks Sheet.
• Intermediate Certificate and Marks Sheet.
• Marks sheet of last degree/M.B.B.S. degree with Consolidated Marks Sheet.
• House Job(s) certificates (if applicable).
• Valid PM&DC/PMC Registration (if applicable).
• Two years valid teaching experience certificate from the Principal/Registrar of the College/Institution/University.
• Copies of Research Papers/Publications.
• Domicile.
