Eligibility Criteria

BS Eligibility:

Program Eligibility
B.Ed. (4 Years)
  • A Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent with minimum 2nd Division
B.Ed. (1.5 Years)
  • 16-Year degree in any school subjects.
B.Ed. (2.5 Years)
  • Associate degree in Arts, Associate Degree in Science, BA/BSc OR equivalent.
  • Note: The students having Associate Degree in Education will be enrolled in 5th Semester of B.Ed (4 Years) Program.
B.Ed. (4 Years) Special Education
  • A Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent degree with minimum 2nd Division
BS History
  • Intermediate or equivalent of education (minimum 2nd Division)

BS Archaeology
  • F. A./F. Sc./A Level or Equivalent, however, it is subject to UE Admission rules / admission criteria.
BS Pakistan Studies
  • Intermediate or equivalent (minimum 2nd Division)
BS Information Management
  • Twelve years of education with at least second division and the general criteria set by the University
BS Botany
  • F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or A-Level with Biology as per UE rules
BS Botany (5th semester)
  • BS Botany (Post ADP)
  • Pathway for associate degrees Holders:
  • Students having completed Associate Degrees shall be allowed admission in the fifth semester of the BS Botany without any deficiency course.
  • Where the disciplines of the Associate Degree and the undergraduate degree program are different, students shall be required to complete deficiency courses through a bridging semester before the fifth semester as determined by the admitting university.
  • The minimum eligibility for admission in the fifth semester in above cases is 2.00 / 4.00 CGPA in the prior qualification i.e., associate degree.
  • Pathway for Conventional BA / BSc / Equivalent Degree Holders:
  • Students having completed conventional BSc equivalent degree programs shall be allowed admission in the fifth semester of the undergraduate degree program, in which case students shall be required to complete deficiency courses through a bridging semester before commencement of the fifth semester as determined by the admitting university.
  • The minimum eligibility for admission in the fifth semester in this case is 45% cumulative score in the prior qualification i.e., conventional BSc / equivalent degree programs.
BS Chemistry
  • F.Sc. (Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering)/A-Level with Chemistry or equivalents as per UE rules
BS Chemistry (5th semester)
  • BSc pre-medical (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry) or pre-engineering (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry) or equivalent as per UE rules OR
  • Associate Degree with at least 15 credit hours of Chemistry and 8 credit hours of Botany, Zoology or 8 credit hours of Mathematics, Physics.
BS Information Technology
  • Minimum 50% marks in Intermediate/12 years schooling/A- Level (HSSC) or Equivalent with Mathematics are required for admission in BS Information Technology Program. *Equivalency certificate by IBCC will be required in case of education from some other country or system.
  • FSc pre-medical students are also eligible but the students have to pass deficiency courses (Pre-Calculus-I and Pre-Calculus-II / Equivalent).
  • These deficiency mathematics courses are the prerequisite of other mathematical courses to ensure that the students have completed their deficiency in first year of their studies.
  • Additionally, courses will be considered as non-credited courses.
BS Information Technology(5th semester)
  • Candidates are required to have completed 14 years of education with Mathematics (200 marks) and Computer Science (200 marks) for admission.
  • Candidates are required to have aggregate marks >= 45% in the terminal degree for admission.
  • The minimum duration for completion of BSIT (Post ADP) is two years (4-regular semester) and the maximum period is three years (6 semesters).
  • Candidates are required to have 14 years of education in the semester system, with 15 Credit Hours in Computer Science and 8 Credit Hours in Mathematics, for admission. Candidates with a CGPA less than 2.00 or aggregate marks less than 60% in the semester system are not eligible to apply.
  • If a candidate has completed only 6 credit hours of mathematics along with 15 credit hours of computer science in a semester system, they are conditionally eligible.
  • However, they will need to take an additional 3-credit course of mathematics during their BSIT (Post ADP) degree.
  • The minimum duration for completion of BSIT (Post ADP) is two years (4-regular semester) and the maximum period is three years (6 semesters).
BS Computer Science

  • Intermediate with Mathematics or equivalents as per UE rules with 50% marks in Mathematics.
BS Mathematics (5th semester)
  • Two-year Bachelor Degree with Math-A & Math-B course or Associate Degree in Science with Major Mathematics (at least 18 Credit Hours) and Minor (Physics/Statistics etc.at least 06 credit hours) or equivalent as per UE rules
BS Physics
  • F.Sc./A-Level with Physics or equivalent Applicable, as per UE rules.
BS Physics (5th semester)
  • The pre-requisite for this program is BSc (2 years) with Physics and Mathematics / ADP degree with minimum 15 credit hours of Physics or equivalent from HEC recognized university or degree awarding institution as per UE rules.
  • Maximum four deficiency courses may take by student in case of need which are Mechanics 1 and II, Electricity and Magnetism I and II, Modern Physics and Electronics, Ordinary differential equation, Analytic Geometry and Calculus I, II and III).
BS Zoology
  • The pre-requisite for BS Zoology is FSC (Pre medical) / A-Levels with Biology as per UE rules.
BS Zoology (5th semester)
  • The pre-requisite for BS Zoology (Post ADP) are as follows:
  • The Candidate should hold degree of Associate Degree (AD) in Science or BSc (02 year) with Zoology or equivalent.
  • The Candidate must have earned at least 12 credits in Zoology.

  • Print the Fee Challan, deposit the prescribed admission processing fee in any branch of The Bank of Punjab (BOP) and get computer generated deposit receipt (Customer Copy).
  • Please note that printed application form / computer generated deposit receipt (Customer copy) need not to be submitted to the university but should be kept for record.
  • Only those applicants will be considered for admission who have deposited the prescribed admission processing fee (non-refundable).
  • Submit separate online application form for each campus/ program/ shift/ quota.
  • Separate admission processing fee(non-refundable) will be charged for each application form.
  • The applicants having unusual or non-standard qualifications (e.g. diploma, certificate, etc.) are required to seek equivalence (prior to applying online for admission) from Quality Enhancement Cell, University of Education, Lahore. They will have to submit equivalence form (which may be downloaded from UE Website (i.e. www.ue.edu.pk)) in Quality Enhancement Cell, University of Education, College Road, Township, Lahore and deposit prescribed fee.   • The applicants, whose names are displayed in the merit lists, will contact the Admission In charge of the relevant Division/Campus, along-with original educational documents, CNIC/Form-B and Father/Guardian CNIC, two sets of photocopies of all these documents.
  • After completion of verification process, the Admission Office of concerned Division/Campus will issue a fee Challan for deposit of Admission dues (Semester fee).
  • The applicant will deposit the fee in any Branch of the Bank of Punjab (BOP) within due dates and get the computer generated deposit receipt (Customer Copy); however, he/she needs not to submit the computer generated deposit receipt (Customer Copy) in the Division/Campus concerned but should be kept for record.
  • If an applicant does not submit the Admission dues (Semester dues) within due date, the admission offer shall stand cancelled.
  • 1st year (Part-I) passed students of FA/FSC/I Com/D Com/ICS or equivalent are eligible to apply for admission in BS (4 years) programs; however, DAE students are eligible to apply for admission, if they have passed 1st year (Part-I) and 2nd year (Part-II) examination.
  • The 2nd year (Part-II) result awaited students of FA/FSC/I Com/D Com/ICS or equivalent are required to enter 1st year (Part-I) marks (i.e. obtained marks and Total marks in Part-I) and 3rd year (Part-III) result awaited students of DAE are required to enter 2nd years marks (i.e., obtained marks & total marks of both parts (Part-I + Part-II)).
  • The students with complete results of FA/FSC/DAE/I Com/D Com/ICS or equivalent will enter their complete result (i.e. obtained marks & total marks).
  • For admission in BS (5th Semester) programs, the result awaiting candidates of the Associate Degree may apply on the basis of the results of their first three semesters / Annual Part-I of Associate Degree Program. The applicants will have to enter the result of 4 semesters of the AD program or 3 semesters, whichever is complete. However, only such students will be eligible for admission who have passed all the courses. After admission, applicants with 3 semesters' results of their AD program will provide their final result within 4 weeks of the commencement of the classes. In case of failure in the final result of the Associate Degree Program, the admission of such applicants will stand cancelled.
