- Master degree (18years education) in engineering with a CGPA of at least 3.00/4.00 or equivalent.
- AU-GAT(Sub) at least 70% score or NTS-GAT(Sub) at least 60% score or GRE (general) with minimum 300 score (155 in Quantitative Reasoning, 145 in Verbal Reasoning, and 3.5/6.0 in analytical writing).This must be passed before the date of admission in PhD Program.
- Candidates will appear for an interview for final selection.

- This must be passed before the date of admission in PhD Program.
- Other requirements as stipulated by the Higher Education Commission.
- Successful completion of the University's admission procedure.

- MS/MPhil degree in the subject of Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence/Data Science /Information Technology /Mathematics/ Statistics/ Bioinformatics / Biomedical Sciences/Aviation Sciences /Aviation Management, or Engineering (Computer/ Software/ Electrical/Electronics/Telecom/Mechatronics/Biomedical/Avionics/Aerospace/Naval Architecture) earned from the HEC recognized university/institute, after completing 18 year of education, meeting 30 Credit Hours with a CGPA of at least 3.00 (on the scale of 4.00), or first division in the annual system.
- AU-GAT(Sub) at least 70% score or NTS-GAT(Sub) at least 60% score or GRE (general) with minimum 300 score (155 in Quantitative Reasoning, 145 in Verbal Reasoning, and 3.5/6.0 in analytical writing).
- This must be passed before the date of admission in PhD Program. Candidates will appear in the interview for final selection

| Strategic Studies |
- MS/ MPhil preferably in Security Studies, International Relations (IR), Peace and Conflict Studies, Strategic Studies (SS), Defense and Strategic Studies (DSS), Defense and Diplomatic Studies (DDS), Political Science, Pakistan Studies, or a relevant degree from a foreign military/ civilian institution with HEC equivalence, are eligible to apply.
- Minimum CGPA 3.00/4.00 or equivalent
- Statement of Purpose (Approx. 2000 words) / Research Proposal (Approx. 3000 words).
- All applicants shall be required to take one of the following non subject specific admissions test:
- The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General test administered by the Education Testing Service with a minimum score of 300,
- A GAT (Subject) with a minimum score of 60.
- Or Air University General Graduate Admission Test with a minimum score of 70%.
- Assessment of candidates by the Air University Admission Committee.
