Test format:

• The test result remains valid for one year.
• Subject-Specific: 70%
• General Portion: 30% (English, Math, Analytical, Quantitative, etc.) GRE/HAT General (HEC-accredited) with a 60% passing score is also accepted as a replacement for the University's PhD admission test, valid until its expiry date.
• Candidates who qualify the University's PhD admission test, GRE, or HAT General will be shortlisted for interviews.

How to Register

Application Process:

• Candidates are required to submit their applications ONLINE at www.gcuonline.pk on or before Monday, 21-04-2025.
• A processing fee of rupees. 1500/- must be paid at any branch of the UBL in Pakistan (Payment through UBL Mobile App/ Omni is not acceptable). Each application and research proposal will be evaluated by the Departmental Admission Committee (DAC).
• Short- listed candidates will be invited for interviews, where their qualifications and research proposals will be thoroughly examined.
• In addition to the ONLINE application,, candidates must submit the application printouts to the office of the relevant department by Monday, 21-04-2025
• The submission should include academic credentials, a research proposal, a copy of the NOC from the employer (if applicable), and a valid admission test.
• Incomplete applications will not be entertained.

• HEC scholarship holders are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Government employees, semi-government employees, and those working in autonomous bodies must provide an employer's NOC.
• Admitted scholars must obtain a study leave from their parent department to pursue their PhD studies on full time basis.
