Eligibility |
| Electrical Engineering |
- A minimum of 18 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the PhD Electrical Engineering Program.
- As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0 (on a scale of 4) or First Division (in the annual system) in their Master's degree and at least a CGPA of 2.4 (on a scale of 4) or 60% marks in their Bachelor's degree.
- LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test in Electrical Engineering
- Applicants residing outside Pakistan are required to take the GRE General Test through the Educational Testing Service (ETS), USA.

| Computer Science |
- A minimum of 18 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the PhD Computer Science Program.
- As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0 (on a scale of 4) or First Division (in the annual system) in their Master's degree and at least a CGPA of 2.4 (on a scale of 4) or 60% marks in their Bachelor's degree. In addition, applicants must have secured at least 60% marks in their FSC exams. A-Level students must have at least 65% marks on the IBCC equivalence scale with at most 1 D grade.
- LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test in Computer Science
- Applicants residing outside Pakistan are required to take the GRE General Test through the Educational Testing Service (ETS), USA.

| Mathematics |
- A minimum of 18 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the PhD Mathematics Program.
- As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0 (on a scale of 4) or First Division (in the annual system) in their Master's degree and at least a CGPA of 2.4 (on a scale of 4) or 60% marks in their Bachelor's degree.
- Applicants residing outside Pakistan are required to take the following two (2) admissions tests in order to be considered for Fall 2025 admission:
- GRE - General Test; and GRE - Subject Test in Mathematics.

| Physics |
- A minimum of 18 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the PhD Physics Program.
- As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0 (on a scale of 4) or First Division (in the annual system) in their Master's degree and at least a CGPA of 2.4 (on a scale of 4) or 60% marks in their Bachelor's degree.
- Applicants residing outside Pakistan are required to take the following two (2) admissions tests in order to be considered for Fall 2025 admission: GRE - General Test; and GRE - Subject Test in Physics.

| Biology |
- A minimum of 18 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the PhD Biology Program.
- As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0 (on a scale of 4) or First Division (in the annual system) in their Master's degree and at least a CGPA of 2.4 (on a scale of 4) or 60% marks in their Bachelor's degree. Applicants with professional degrees (including, MBBS, BDS, Pharm-D) must have Second Division or above in their professional degrees and must also meet the above-mentioned requirement for their Master's degree in order to be considered eligible.
- LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test in Biology
- Applicants residing outside Pakistan are required to take the GRE General Test through the Educational Testing Service (ETS), USA.

| Chemistry |
- A minimum of 18 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the PhD Chemistry Program.
- As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0 (on a scale of 4) or First Division (in the annual system) in their Master's degree and at least a CGPA of 2.4 (on a scale of 4) or 60% marks in their Bachelor's degree.

- A minimum of 18 years of education leading to a degree Program is required for applying to the PhD Chemical and Environmental Engineering Program.
- As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0 (on a scale of 4) or First Division (in the annual system) in their Master's degree and at least a CGPA of 2.4 (on a scale of 4) or 60% marks in their Bachelor's degree.
- LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test in Chemical and Environmental Engineering.

| Management |
- A minimum of 18 years of education is required for applying to the PhD Management Program.
- As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0 (on a scale of 4) or First Division (60% in the annual system) in their Master's degree (MPhil/MS/Equivalent).
- Applicants are required to take either GMAT or GRE General.
