Program Eligibility
MBA
  • Minimum 16 years of education is compulsory for applying to the MBA program.
  • Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or NTS GAT (General) or LGAT score is required for admission to the MBA.
Executive MBA
  • Minimum 16 years of education is compulsory for applying.
  • Applicants are required to take Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or NTS GAT (General) or LGAT.
MS Technology Management and Entrepreneurship
  • Successful completion of16 years of education leading to a Master's or Bachelor's* degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, including Business, Management, and Commerce.
  • GRE/GMAT/NTS-GAT/LGAT test score.
MS Healthcare Management and Innovation
  • Minimum 16 years of education is compulsory for applying.
  • Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or NTS GAT (General) or LGAT score.
MS Financial Management
  • Minimum 16 years of education is compulsory for applying to the MS Financial Management Program.
  • Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or NTS GAT (General) or LGAT score is required for admission.
MS Supply Chain and Retail Management
  • Minimum 16 years of education is compulsory for applying to MS.
  • Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or NTS GAT (General) or LGAT score is required for admission to the MS Program.
MS Computer Science
  • Minimum 16 years of education is compulsory for applying to MS.
  • As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have a CGPA of at least 2.4 (on a scale of4) or at least 60% marks in all university-level degrees. In addition, applicants must have secured at least60% marks in their FSC exam. A-level students must have at least 65% marks on the IBCC equivalence scale with at most 1 D grade.
  • Applicants applying to the MS Computer Science Program must have their Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in any one of the following areas:
  • Computer Science
  • Software Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Other closely related disciplines that are synergistically aligned with computing (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Economics or Management Sciences) and involve rigorous coursework in Mathematics and a strong programming background.
MS Electrical Engineering
  • A minimum of16 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the MS Electrical Engineering Program.
  • As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have a CGPA of at least 2.4(on a scale of4) or at least 60% marks in all university-level degrees.
  • Applicants applying to the MS Electrical Engineering Program must have their Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in any one of the following areas:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering/Applied Physics
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Telecom Engineering
  • Other engineering disciplines are peripherally related to electronics or electrical engineering.
  • LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test.
  • GRE - General Test for foreign graduates.
MS Mathematics
  • A minimum of 16 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the MS.
  • As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have a CGPA of at least2.4(on a scale of4) or at least 60% marks in all university-level degrees.
  • LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test in Mathematics
  • GRE - General Test; and GRE - Subject Test in Mathematics for foreign graduates.
MS Physics
  • A minimum of16 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the MS Physics.
  • As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have a CGPA of at least2.4(on a scale of4) or at least 60% marks in all university-level degrees.
  • LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test in Physics
  • GRE - General Test; and GRE - Subject Test in Physics for applicants outside Pakistan.
MS Biology
  • A minimum of16 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the MS Biology Program.
  • As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have a CGPA of at least2.4(on a scale of4) or at least 60% marks in all university-level degrees. Applicants with professional degrees(including, MBBS, BDS, Pharm-D) must have Second Division or above in order to be considered eligible for the MS program.
  • LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test in Biology
  • Applicants residing outside Pakistan are required to take the GRE General Test through the Educational Testing Service (ETS), USA.
MS Chemistry
  • A minimum of16 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the MS Chemistry Program.
  • As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have a CGPA of at least 2.4 (on a scale of 4) or at least 60% marks in all university-level degrees.
  • Applicants applying to the MS Chemistry Program must have their Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in any one of the following areas:
  • Chemistry
  • Biochemistry
  • Materials Science or Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Other closely related disciplines.
  • LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test in Chemistry.
  • Applicants residing outside Pakistan are required to take the GRE General Test through the Educational Testing Service (ETS), USA.
MS Digital and Embedded Systems
  • A minimum of16 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the MS Digital and Embedded Systems Program.
  • As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have aCGPAof at least2.4(on a scale of4) or at least60%marks in all university-level degrees.
  • LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test in Digital and Embedded Systems.
  • Applicants residing outside Pakistan are required to take the GRE General Test through the Educational Testing Service (ETS), USA.
  • Applicants applying to the MS Digital and Embedded Systems Program must have their Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in any one of the following areas:

MS Artificial Intelligence
  • A minimum of16 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the MS Artificial Intelligence.
  • As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have aCGPAof at least2.4(on a scale of4) or at least60%marks in all university-level degrees.
  • Applicants applying to the MS Artificial Intelligence Program must have their Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in any one of the following areas:
  • Any Engineering Discipline such as Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical, Aeronautical etc.
  • Computer Science
  • Economics and Social Sciences
  • Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Business Administration Basic Sciences such as Physics, Biology, Chemistry etc.
  • Other related disciplines have exposure to computational problem solving, foundations of linear algebra, and introductory probability theory.
  • LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test (Related to computational problem solving, foundations of linear algebra, and introductory probability theory concepts).
  • Applicants residing outside Pakistan are required to take the GRE General Test through the Educational Testing Service (ETS), USA.
MS Power Engineering and Smart Grids
  • A minimum of16 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the MS Power Engineering and Smart Grids Program.
  • As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have a CGPA of at least2.4(on a scale of4) or at least 60% marks in all university-level degrees.
  • LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); and LUMS SBASSE Subject Test (Related to Electrical Engineering and Power and Energy Systems subjects).
  • Applicants residing outside Pakistan are required to take the GRE General Test through the Educational Testing Service (ETS), USA.
MPhil Education Leadership and Management
  • A minimum of 16 years of education leading to a degree Program is required for applying to the MPhil Education Leadership and Management.
  • Evaluation for interview calls is carried out based on a combination of factors such as academic track record, performance in GRE (General)/GMAT/NTS-GAT/ LGAT, and work experience (if applicable).
  • The LUMS SOE requires a GRE/GMAT/NTS-GAT/LGAT test score.
MPhil Education Leadership and Management - Weekend Track for Executives
  • A minimum of 16 years of education leading to a degree Program is required for applying to the MPhil Education Leadership and Management - Weekend Track for Executives.
  • GMAT, GRE/ LGAT OR NTS-GAT Test.
  • Evaluation for interview call is carried out based on a combination of factors such as academic track record, performance in GRE (General)/GMAT/NTS-GAT/ LGAT, and work experience.
MS Economics
  • A minimum of 16 years of education leading to a degree program is required for applying to the MS Economics Program.
  • Applicants with insufficient training in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Econometrics are strongly advised to apply for the MS Economics (2.5-year program). The final decision regarding eligibility for the MS Economics (1.5 years) or MS Economics (2.5 years) program will be taken by the Admissions Committee.
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE); OR LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT); OR NTS GAT (General).

Note:

  • LUMS Graduate Admission Test (LGAT) is comprised of Quantitative, Verbal, and Analytical sections.
  • The LGAT Test Scores will be valid only for the admission of Fall 2025.
  • NTS GAT (General) scores are valid for Two (2) years. Moreover, a cumulative score of 50 in GAT (General) is the minimum requirement for admission.

How to Register

Admission Process:

  • Create an account on the LUMS Online Admissions portal;
  • Select the Degree Program you wish to apply for;
  • Submit your completed Admission Form by the deadline, as indicated in the Academic Calendar;
  • Upload scanned copies of all required supporting documents as per the Document Checklist by the specified deadline;
  • Ensure payment of an appropriate Application and Test Registration Fees (if applicable) by the due date;
  • Submit your complete Financial Aid application (if applicable) along with supporting documents by the due date; and
  • Ensure that your referees/evaluators submit the Teacher's Evaluations or Letters of Recommendation (if applicable) by the deadline.

Account Creation:

  • Applicants who have previously created an account with LUMS Online Admissions within the last two years do not need to create a new one. You can apply for the Fall 2025 admissions using the same account by logging in with your previous credentials (Username and Password).
  • If you are a new applicant, you can create a new account by visiting the LUMS Online Admissions Portal. Instructions for account creation are available at the top right corner of the Account Creation page.
  • Applications for various degree programs can be managed through a single account. We strongly recommend creating only one account for your online application. This account can be used for future applications as well.
  • Upon successful account creation, you will receive a verification email. Once verified, you can log in to the LUMS Online Admissions system using your Username and Password.
  • For security, please ensure you keep your sign-in details (Username and Password) secure and do not share them with anyone. These credentials are essential for accessing and managing your application throughout the process.

Selection of Degree Program:

  • Applicants must choose their preferred Degree Program to begin the application process for Fall 2025 admissions.

Submission:

  • Carefully read the instructions provided at the top right corner of each section. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
  • Provide accurate and complete information in each section of the Application Form. Applicants can complete the form in multiple sessions. The status bar will track the overall progress of the application.
  • Before submitting, applicants should thoroughly review all provided information to ensure accuracy. The application must be submitted by the specified deadline.

Upload Scanned Copies of all documents:

  • Applicants must scan and upload clear, legible copies of all required supporting documents, in accordance with the Document Checklist, by the specified deadline following the submission of the Application Form.
  • Make the Payment
  • Applicants must download the system-generated Fee voucher and make the payment for the Application Processing and LUMS Test Registration Fee (if applicable) on or before the deadline specified in the voucher.

Online Submission:

  • Only applicants who indicate their intention to apply for LUMS Financial Aid (through the Online Admission Application), submit their admission application, and pay the required application processing fee by the deadline will be granted access to the Financial Aid application. The Financial Aid application for Fall 2025 admissions will be available on the online admission portal after February 07, 2025, once the above requirements are met. Applications that do not meet these requirements will not be eligible for financial aid assessment for the 2025-26 academic year.

Submit Teacher's Evaluations/Letters of Recommendation:

  • If applicable, at least two Teacher's Evaluations/Letters of Recommendation must be submitted by the referees on or before the specified deadline.

Note:

  • LUMS will NOT consider applications that are incomplete, missing required documents, or not submitted by the specified deadline.
  • Applications will be processed based on the information provided, by the applicant, in the Online Application Form; therefore, it is crucial to ensure that all details are filled out accurately and completely.
  • For all enquiries, the preferred method of communication with the Office of Admissions is through the Ask Admissions link located at the upper right corner of your application. You can expect a response within two (2) working days.

  • Scanned copies of attested/verified Academic Transcripts/Certificates: Secondary, Post-Secondary, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or any other relevant qualifications.
  • Standardized Test Scores: GMAT/GRE/NTS GAT (General) (if applicable).
  • Work Experience Letters (if applicable).
  • Research Statement (if applicable).
  • Letters of Recommendation: Two letters (if applicable).
  • Curriculum Vitae (if applicable).
  • Passport-sized photograph with a white background.
