  • Formal education of 18 years (MS or equivalent) with minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 in the semester system or 1st division in the annual system and for 16 years education (BS or equivalent) having minimum CGPA of 2.5/4.0 in semester system or 1st division in annual system.
  • GRE (Subject) 60 percentile, or GAT/HAT (Subject) 60 percent or University Equivalent Test (Subject for which GAT and GRE are unavailable) 60 percent. For discipline change, Subject test in the discipline of admission with minimum 50% score will be required.
  • Any additional requirements of HEC as adopted by PIEAS.
  • The students, with MBBS background, having strong demonstrated interest in obtaining PhD degree, but their CGPA is below 3.00 (out of 4.0 in the semester system) or 60% marks (in the annual system) in MPhil/MS (most recent degree obtained), may be admitted to a relevant PhD program after fulfilling the following requirements:
  • Shall study additional/deficiency courses of 9-12 Credit-Hours of level 6 and score minimum 3.00 out of 4.00 GPA,
  • The admission committee is satisfied that the applicant's knowledge of primary area (level 6) has sufficiently prepared him or her to undertake the course of studies of the doctoral program.
  • These requirements shall be in addition to any other requirements set in this policy for admission to a PhD program.
Biological Sciences

How to Register

Application Process:

  • After advertisement in National Daily newspapers, the aspiring applicants shall visit PIEAS admission website http://admissions.pleas.edu.pk for updated information and to access PIEAS Admission Portal
  • An applicant shall create an account (against his/ her CNIC) on PIEAS admissions web portal and fill application form data online.
  • No application shall be entertained in hard copy form.

Scholarships from IT Endowment Fund:

  • IT Endowment Fund Scholarships for MS/PhD Computer Sciences and MS Cyber Security at PIEAS:
  • For MS a monthly stipend of Rupees. 28,000/- only & for PhD Rupees. 35,000/-only.
  • Students have to pledge a bond to serve the country for 5 years after completion of their degree.

Graduate Assistantships Available:

  • Graduate Assistantship program allows PhD students within PIEAS to serve as TA/RA/Lab Engr for 9 contact hours in regular semester and 3 contact hours in summer semester.
  • Selected students will be awarded Rupees. 35,000/- per month scholarship only.

Application Processing Fee BS | MS | PhD:

  • On-line submission within due date:-Rupees. 3,500/-
  • On-line submission within one week after due date-Rupees. 5,000/-
  • There will be no bank service charges for submission of fee through any branch of Askari Bank Limited (AKBL).
  • However payment through Mobile Banking Apps or Internet Banking Apps will require additional service charges.
