  • MBBS graduate from one of the recognized medical University / college shown in schedule I and II of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
  • Valid Registration with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council Practitioner.
  • One Year resident house job in PMDC recognized institution.
  • Foreign Graduates will have to produce equivalence of their degree from PMDC.
MPhil Bio-Chemistry
  • MBBS graduate from one of the recognized medical University / college shown in schedule I and II of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
  • Valid Registration with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council Practitioner.
  • One Year resident house job in PMDC recognized institution.
  • Foreign Graduates will have to produce equivalence of their degree from PMDC.
MPhil Hematology
  • MBBS graduate from one of the recognized medical University / college shown in schedule I and II of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.

Masters Eligibility:

Master of Public Health
  • MBBS/BDS with one year resident house job in a PMDC recognized teaching institution and valid registration with PMDC as Medical/ Dental Practitioner. OR
  • B.Sc Nursing registered with Pakistan Nursing Council with 02 years Post qualification experience in a recognized teaching institution/hospital can also apply.
Masters in Medical Research
  • 16 years of education in Biological sciences, medical and health sciences, Pharmacy/ pharmacology, Biotechnology and other relevant fields.
  • Minimum GPA: 2.6 at the scale of 4.0 or equivalent.
  • Research experience: applicants with publications and track record of research will be preferred.
  • A Subject / Discipline Test (Computer Based) will be conducted by Postgraduate Medical Centre, LUMHS Jamshoro.
  • Shortlisted Candidates will be interviewed by the Postgraduate Committee.
  • One Candidate can not apply for more than one course.

MSc Eligibility:

M.Sc Community Dentistry
  • BDS graduate from one of the recognized medical University / college shown in schedule I & II of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.
  • Valid Registration with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Practitioner.
  • One Year resident house job in PMDC recognized institution.
  • Foreign Graduates will have to produce equivalence of their degree from PMDC.
M.Sc Operative Dentistry
  • BDS graduate from one of the recognized medical University / college shown in schedule I & II of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.

M.Sc Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
  • BDS graduate from one of the recognized medical University / college shown in schedule I & II of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.

  • One Year resident house job in PMDC recognized institution.

M.Sc Orthodontics

M.Sc Prosthodontics

M.Sc Endo-Diabetes
  • BDS graduate from one of the recognized medical University / college shown in schedule I & II of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.
  • Valid Registration with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Practitioner.
  • One Year resident house job in PMDC recognized institution.
  • Foreign Graduates will have to produce equivalence of their degree from PMDC.

MS Nursing Eligibility:

Program Category 1 Category 2
MS Nursing
  • Ten (10) years schooling (Matric).
  • Three (03) years General Nursing Diploma Registered with P.N.C.
  • One (01) year Midwifery Diploma or any other Post Basic Specialty Diploma registered with P.N.C.
  • One (01) year experience as R.N for admission in Post R.N BSN Degree.
  • Two (02) years Post R.N BSN Degree Program as specified by HEC vide Notification No. 8(61)/ A A/2018/HEC/5799, dated 26.04.2018 and registration with PNC.
  • One (01) year experience as R.N for admission in MSN Degree.
  • Valid registration with PNC.
  • NOC from employer to appear in entry test is Mandatory.
  • Twelve (12) years schooling (Matric+ FSC Pre-Medical).
  • Four (04) years Generic BSN Nursing Degree registered with P.N.C.
  • One (01) year Internship (Bedside Care).
  • One (01) year experience as R.N excluding 01 year Internship for admission in MSN Degree.
  • Valid registration with PNC.
  • NOC from employer to appear in entry test is Mandatory.
  • Matric with Arts reference to HECs Notification No. 8(61)/ A & A/2018/HEC/5799, dated 24.04.2018; the policy will be relaxed with Cut-off as June 30,2016 for those who got 4-year BS/BSC Nursing Degrees on the basis of FSC (Pre-Engineering), I.Com, F.A, ICS etc. and subsequently registered with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).
  • Government employees must abide by their respective provincial rules for admission.

How to Register

Application Process:

  • Guidelines for the students for eligibility criteria and fees structure are available on website of the University www.lumhs.edu.pk
  • The candidates have to deposit non-refundable fees (application processing and entry test/Examination) of PKR. 20,000/- for MD/MS Courses and PKR. 5000/- for rest of the courses, online challan available at the University website.
  • The University reserves the right to cancel all advertised courses partly or as a whole.
  • The Postgraduate Directorate however reserves the right of any modification in the schedule/ course due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • The University reserves the right to change the rules and regulations for Postgraduate studies from time to time.
  • The Postgraduate selection committee reserves the right to cancel any admission.
  • In service Candidates will have to obtain no objection certificate from their employer for applying in Postgraduate courses; however they can send a copy in advance along with relevant documents.
  • No separate call letters will be sent to the candidate for entry test/interviews, candidates are advised to visit the website for further updates. Incomplete application forms in any manner will not be entertained.
  • In-eligible candidates will not be allowed to appear in entry test/examination.
