PhD Physics
  • 18 years of education (MS/M.Phil with Thesis or its equivalent degree with Thesis), in the relevant field, from an accredited educational institution;
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 (under semester system) or 70% marks (under conventional system) with no third division (annual system) or D grade (semester system) throughout the academic career;
  • GRE (subject) as per HEC policy, or NTS GAT (subject) with minimum 60 score (must be valid on the date of admission);
  • For admission into PhD Electrical Engineering Program, any one of the existing GAT(subject) tests in Electrical, Computer, Telecom or Electronics Engineering will be accepted with a minimum score of 60 (must be valid on the date of admission).
  • A subject test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) or ETS, USA in the area of specialization chosen at the PhD level must be cleared prior to admission to the PhD Program.
  • If the test is not available in NTS subject list, then a University Committee consisting of at least three PhD faculty members in the subject area and approved by the HEC will conduct the Test at par with GRE Subject Test and qualifying score for this will be 70 % score.
PhD Chemistry
  • 18 years of education (MS/M.Phil with Thesis or its equivalent degree with Thesis), in the relevant field, from an accredited educational institution;

How to Register

Application Process:

  • Sign up and Login in; your registration process starts from signing up yourself with valid information. After that you can login with your email or Login name to fill your application form.
  • You have to carefully read and agree upon the instruction/eligibility criteria.
  • In this screen you have to fill-in your personal details. You'll have to enter your name and father / guardian name as per your Matric / O-Level certificate. Then enter your CNIC, domicile, and mobile number.
  • You'll have to fill-in your address details. Enter your permanent address and current mailing address. You'll have to enter father / guardian address if its different from permanent address. Click the checkbox 'same as permanent address' if addresses are same.
  • Upload a profile picture, crop it and save it, face should be clearly visible. Crop photo and make sure your face is clearly visible.
  • Fill in your educational details in this step. Starting from Matric, you'll have to enter all education degrees required for the program you are applying.
  • If you've a valid NTS result available, enter its details in this screen. If you've registered to an NTS test center and have a roll-no then mention in this screen.
  • You'll have to select the program you want to apply in this screen. You've the option to apply in up to 7 different program choices.
  • Upload your documents, all uploading criteria is mentioned on help center of page.
  • Enter other details.
  • Enter bank details with branch code after submitting fee, If you are applying in NTS through CUI then you have to upload NTS challan details also.
  • Application form completely submitted. Now wait for merit list to be uploaded once your documents and fee are verified.

Documents Required:

  • Demand Draft in favor of CUI Islamabad from any bank.
  • MATRIC / O-Level mark sheet certificate Equivalence, (photocopy back to back).
  • FA/FSc / A-Level mark sheet, certificate Equivalence (photocopy back to back).
  • Copy of NIC / B form.
  • Photographs.
  • Valid NTS Result (photocopy) [if test already given].
  • Paid original copy of NTS Challan Form, [if NTS test not given].
  • Hope Certificate/Affidavit (To be notarized on Rs. 20/- Stamp Paper) mandatory for result awaiting applicants only.
  • Undertaking (To be notarized on Rs. 20/- Stamp Paper) mandatory for all applicants.
