PhD Management Sciences
  • 17.5/18 years of MS/MPhil or equivalent education from an HEC-  recognized university in relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).
    Initial Research Proposal/Statement of Purpose is required at the time of PhD admission.
PhD Economics
  • MS/MPhil economics degree (17.5/18 years of education) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).
  • Initial Research Proposal/Statement of Purpose is required at the time of PhD admission.
PhD Computer Sciences
  • 18 Years Education in the relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).

PhD Electrical Engineering
  • 18 Years Education (MS/MPhil/equivalent) in the relevant discipline from an HEC recognized university with minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).
  • Initial Research Proposal/Statement of Purpose is required at the time of PhD admission.
PhD Software Engineering
  • 18 Years of education (MS/MPhil/equivalent) in the relevant discipline from an HEC recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% score in the relevant computing domain (Computer Science/Software Engineering/IT) or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).
  • Initial Research Proposal/Statement of Purpose is required at the time of PhD admission.
PhD Computer Engineering
  • 18 year of education (MS/MPHIL/equivalent degree) in relevant discipline form an HEC recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).

Ph.D. Geology
  • 5/18 years of education (MS/MPhil/equivalent degree) in Earth Sciences from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).

Ph.D. Environmental Sciences
  • 5/18 years of education (MS/MPhil/equivalent degree) in Environmental Sciences from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).
  • An initial Research Proposal/Statement of Purpose is required at the time of Ph.D. admission.
Ph.D. Geophysics
  • 5/18 years of education (MS/MPhil/equivalent degree) in Geophysics from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).

Ph.D. International Relations
  • 18 years of education (MS/MPhil/equivalent degree) in a relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).
  • An initial Research Proposal/Statement of Purpose is required at the time of Ph.D. admission.
Ph.D. Clinical Psychology
  • 18 years of education in Clinical Psychology or relevant field of Psychology including clinical internship and course contents from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).
  • An initial Research Proposal/Statement of Purpose is required at the time of Ph.D. admission.
Ph.D. Organizational Psychology
  • 18 years of education in the relevant field of Psychology from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).
  • An initial Research Proposal/Statement of Purpose is required at the time of Ph.D. admission.
Ph.D. Media Studies
  • 18 years of education (MS/MPhil/equivalent degree) in a relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).
  • An initial Research Proposal/Statement of Purpose is required at the time of Ph.D. admission.
Ph.D. Law
  • LLM degree from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 (Semester System) or 60% marks (Annual System).
  • Pre-qualification for LLB is also a mandatory requirement.
  • NTS-GAT (Subject) or GRE (Subject) Test passed with minimum 60% Marks or BU Admission Test (60% passing marks).
  • An initial Research Proposal/Statement of Purpose is required at the time of Ph.D. admission.
Ph.D. Health Sciences
  • MBBS / BDS having 17.5/18 years of education with MPhil / FCPS/ equivalent degree from PM&DC and HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (semester system) or 60% marks (only where CGPA is not given/available) in the field of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology (Microbiology), Pathology (Histopathology), Pharmacology and Public health (MS / MPhil / MSPH/ MPH, with course work & thesis).
  • Non-medical MPhil candidates are eligible to apply in PhD Health Sciences – Biochemistry, Physiology & Pathology (Microbiology) programs.
  • Non-medical MS/ MPhil/ MSPH/ MPH candidates with course work & thesis in nursing, social sciences, behavioral sciences are eligible to apply in PhD Health Sciences program – Public Health.
  • The only exception to the 17.5/18 years of education rule shall be a letter from the HEC authorizing a candidate with less than 17.5/18 years of education in unambiguous terms for admission into a PhD program.
  • Completion of one year of house job from PM&DC recognized institution / Hospital.
  • Valid PM&DC registration certificate.
  • Two years teaching experience in respective field will be given preference.
  • All mentioned certificates and degrees duly attested by HEC to be produced at the time of interview to avoid ineligibility.
  • Attestation by HEC on the candidate’s local degrees and cumulative transcript (on the back of the original degrees and transcript). HEC’s equivalency certificate is required for the candidate’s foreign degrees.
  • Aptitude Test NTS-GAT (Subject Test), or GRE (Subject Test), passed with minimum 60% marks, or BU Admission Test (70% passing marks). Result be submitted at the time of application.

 

How to Register

Application Process:

  • Step 1: CLICK on the website TO APPLY NOW and Create an Account.
  • Step 2: Check your email, Click on the link received in the email and set your Password.
  • Step 3: Log in to your BU account with your email and password (Remember your password).
  • Step 4: Fill online form following each given step & generate a Fee Voucher.
  • Step 5: Take a print of the Fee Voucher and Pay the Admissions Processing Fee in any branch of Alfalah or Allied Bank.
  • Step 6: Print Entry Test Slip (Admit Slip).
  • Step 7: Appear in Computer Based Test (CBTs).
  • Step 8: Find your name in Merit List uploaded by the University on www.bahria.edu.pk.
  • Step 9: Appear in the Interview as per the date given against your name.
  • Step 10: Submit Admissions Fee (1st Semester).

Important Instructions:

  • Applicant for admission MUST MEET THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS set-forth by Bahria University.
  • Candidates are advised to CONFIRM THEIR ELIGIBILITY prior apply.
  • In case of annual system, eligibility will be determined on the basis of result in percentages.
  • In case of semester system, eligibility will be determined on the basis of CGPA obtained out of 4.00.
  • In case the result is shown both in CGPA and percentage, CGPA will be considered.
  • Two percent quota shall be kept for disabled candidates. Applicants with disabilities can request requisite facilities during the admissions process. All such requests must be supported by documentary evidence.
  • Two percent quota shall be kept for sports based admissions in all UG programs except BU HS Campus.
  • Two percent quota shall be kept in admissions for applicants/ students from less developed regions of Pakistan.
  • Five percent quota for Children of Overseas Pakistanis.
  • Five percent quota shall be reserved for the sons/ daughters of Advocates in LLB, who shall compete for admission in order of merit.
  • One percent quota for Balochistan.
  • Applicants on reserved seats at Para 1,2,3 & 4 above should fulfill general conditions for admissions and must meet minimum admission criteria, prescribed for each degree program.
  • Candidates applying on quota seats must submit their applications along with desired documents before admission deadline at Admission office of their respective Campus.
  • Applicants belonging to lesser developed regions of Pakistan shall be required to produce duly attested domicile from chairman Town Committee/ Gazetted Officers.
