The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has extended the deadline for registering for the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) and the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT).

Applications are now being accepted until Saturday, September 20, 2025.

HEC claims the choice was taken in order to support students and guarantee the highest possible level of participation in the entrance exams.

Students were reminded by the commission that while the HAT is necessary for admission to MS/MPhil and PhD programs, as well as for several higher education scholarships, the USAT is a mandatory test for applicants to undergraduate universities.

HEC has recommended that applicants finish their registrations well in advance of the deadline in order to prevent last-minute problems.

Additionally, students have been urged to follow HEC's official social media accounts for the most recent information and updates.
