The Sindh Board of Technical Education has updated its approximately 30-year-old curriculum to align with contemporary technology and global norms.
One- and three-year courses in cutting-edge subjects, including artificial intelligence, filmmaking, cinematography, digital marketing, advertising skills, airline and airport management, aviation, and a diploma in business management, are now part of the revised curriculum.
The Diploma in Associate Engineering (DAE) Part I exams will be administered entirely online for the first time this year, according to board officials.Every step of the procedure has been digitalized, from registration and fee payment to exam fees and admit card issuance.
Students' original grade reports will also be sent straight to their schools.Beginning with the mid-October tests, this new approach will be put into place.
The goal of the action is to stop certification and mark sheet issuance delays.
According to data, there are 1,546 connected institutions under the Sindh Technical Board's jurisdiction, comprising 253 government and 1,293 commercial organizations.
There are currently 225 DAE programs that run in morning and evening shifts, and about 50 universities provide two-year degree programs.
The board offers courses ranging from three months to three years, covering a broad spectrum of educational levels.
Musharraf Ali Rajput, the chairman of the Sindh Technical Board, said that students no longer have to travel outside to pursue contemporary technical education because such chances are now offered domestically.
The board is considering introducing Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) technology in the future and is moving to a fully automated system this year.
All principals have been directed to provide their teachers with computer-based exam paper checking training, he continued. The goal of this training is to bring the examination system up to date with current requirements by the middle of October.
The chairman emphasized that by encouraging technology-based education, the Sindh Technical Board is helping to produce qualified professionals for the nation in addition to opening up new prospects for local students.
