On Tuesday, the divisional administration requested that the deputy commissioners of Rawalpindi's six districts enforce section 144 in and near the testing locations for the annual secondary school certificate exams.

On March 4, examinations are set to begin.

According to a statement released here, Rawalpindi Commissioner Amir Khattak ordered that infallible arrangements be made for the exams administered by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi during a meeting to assess the plans.

Adnan Khan, the chairman of the Rawalpindi BISE, briefed the group, stating that 399 testing locations have been established and that around 120,024 candidates will take the yearly exams.

Additionally, the division has control rooms set up to keep an eye on the examination affairs.

The division has 97 sensitive examination centers in total. Fifteen of these are located in Attock, seventeen in Jhelum, eight in Chakwal, eleven in Talagang, nine in Murree, and thirty-seven in Rawalpindi, where more personnel and security will be sent, Mr. Khan stated.

The commissioner ordered that CCTV cameras be placed in the hallways and that Section 144 be enforced inside the boundaries of the testing facilities.

He stated that the board's examination centers within their separate jurisdictions should be visited by deputy commissioners, extra deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners, and pertinent divisional heads.

He stated that the invigilators' operations should be observed, and the district administrations would inspect the setup at the testing locations.

Exams, he claimed, are essential to fostering in students a sense of progress and a healthy spirit of competitiveness.

"If there is any irregularity found anywhere, the district administration should assist the education boards in conducting the exams in a transparent manner and take prompt action to file a formal complaint against the individuals involved," he continued.

Additionally, he stated that unexcused absences from examination duties would never be tolerated and that those deemed negligent would face severe consequences.

He stated that their primary goal is to create a calm atmosphere for the students and that each student should go into the exam room with the conviction that no one will dishonestly take away the results of their labor.
