The E-Basta Project, an initiative of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, is nearing completion and intends to use digital technologies to change the province's educational system.
An official handout states that tablets with all of the textbooks, lessons, lectures, and other academic materials will be used in place of bulky school bags. To help pupils stay focused on their studies, the tablets will only be used for instructional purposes.
A parental monitoring mechanism is also introduced by the project. Parents will have the ability to monitor their children's study habits, including the amount of time they spend on each topic, the lectures they attend, and their preparation progress.
Parents' participation in the educational process will be strengthened by built-in capabilities that let them administer tests on the tablet and view the outcomes.
The system will be advantageous to teachers as well. They will be able to monitor students' readiness levels, assign homework and tasks online, and provide real-time performance reports using the platform. By doing this, teachers will be able to pinpoint student areas of weakness and offer them focused instruction.
In order to prepare youngsters for the demands of modern technology, officials said the project also seeks to increase digital literacy. It is anticipated that the E-Basta Project will raise the standard of education throughout the province and boost individual performance once it gets underway.
The KP Education Department is using new technologies these days to get the most out of technology. Such projects will develop students' interest in technology and limit the student dropoutratio.
