Two prestigious educational institutions in Lahore, the National College of Arts (NCA) and the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD), are anticipated to open branches in Karachi soon. At a press conference on Saturday, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Chairman of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan and Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, made this announcement.

Dr. Siddiqui was accompanied by the vice chancellors of NCA and PIFD, the chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), and other senior authorities. At the new campuses, he claimed, young people from Sindh would have access to "employable skill-based short courses."

Dr. Siddiqui rejected the idea that the federal education ministry's operations were restricted to Islamabad, highlighting the ministry's national reach. He emphasized the significance of educating the country's youth, who comprise 60% of the population, in order to capitalize on their advantages.

He drew comparisons with neighboring countries that had prioritized workforce development and successfully exploited their large populations to advance technology. He underlined that Pakistan needs to follow suit and provide its children with workforce-relevant skills.

The Federal Minister also announced an expansion of the NAVTTC's centers and course offerings in addition to the additional campuses. He talked about partnerships with both domestic and foreign organizations, like Microsoft and Huawei, to improve youth training possibilities in Pakistan.

In addition, the education minister discussed the quickly evolving global trends and emphasized the importance of education for Pakistan's development and survival. He emphasized how important it is to move swiftly in order to position the country for future prosperity.

In response to a query concerning brain drain, Dr. Siddiqui characterized it as a trend in the right direction, implying that the ultimate migration of young people overseas will result in higher remittances and a more robust international profile for Pakistan.

On student union revival, Dr. Siddiqui reiterated the importance of these groups, stating that labor and student unions both serve as incubators for future leaders.
