NUR International University is backed by 40 years of rich experience of Fatima Memorial System in Education, Policy Research and Health. The NUR Foundation is a sponsoring body of the University, which was incorporated on February 3, 2006. NUR Foundation is a not for profit Company Limited by Guarantee, incorporated under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984 (XLVII of 1984). The NUR Foundation was granted a charter by the Government of the Punjab for establishing the University on February 26, 2015 and after that University was recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad. Through this charter, the University was given the legal right to offer degree awarding programs.

The University has a modern campus that stimulate learning and for obtaining value-driven and applied research knowledge. The University has the dedication in accomplishing its aims, mission, vision and values by creating and spreading education and research, which will impact public policy.

The university offers bachelor's degree programs in MIT, MLT,OTT, BBA, DT, Nutritional sciences, Clinical Psychology, Emergency and Intensive Care Sciences, biotechnology and Doctor of Physical Therapy. The university also offers MS Clinical Psychology, MBA, MS Food, Nutrition & Dietetics,  MS Food, Science & Technology, MPhil Biochemistry and MPhil Biotechnology. 

Nur International University also offers diplomas in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, Nutrition Entrepreneurship, Food Safety & Quality Management in Food Service,  Clinical Psychology and Industrial Organization Psychology.

The admission requirements vary for the different degree programs. For undergraduate degree programs, intermediate or equivalent education with a minimum grade of 50% is the basic requirement. However, for admissions in MS or M.Phil. degree programs, the basic requirements include a bachelor's degree from an HEC accredited university.
