Pakistani students are now able to apply for the 2025 Fulbright Scholarship Program through the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP).

Eligibility Criteria

• All citizens of Pakistan who are committed to going back to and helping their country and who have a solid academic background and live in Pakistan are eligible.
• It is highly recommended that women, people with disabilities, and residents of Balochistan, Northern Sindh, Southern Punjab, KP, AJK, and GB apply.
• Candidates from any field are welcome to apply, with the exception of clinical medicine.

Ineligibility

• Applicants who hold dual citizenship with the United States and Pakistan, or those who have a spouse, parent, or child over the age of eighteen who is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
• Employees or contractors of USAID, the U.S. Department of State, or the Fulbright program, as well as their parents, siblings, children, and dependents.
• Prior Fulbright grantees for any kind of degree program
• Anyone who is a student in the United States at the moment or who is in any country with a work, residence, or study visa

Academic Background

• Candidates having a four-year bachelor's degree or a dual bachelor's and master's degree comprising sixteen years of formal study from an authorized university are eligible for the master's program.
• Applicants to the Ph.D. program must hold a Master's, M.Phil., or equivalent degree from an approved university or have completed at least 18 years of formal education.

Required Documents

The required documents are as follows:

• An application form
• Three letters of recommendation
• GRE score reports
• Transcripts that have been scanned and accompanied by a description of the grading scheme from the university that awarded the degree Although documents certified by the issuing authorities will be acceptable during the application process, HEC-attested documents are preferred.

Language Requirements

At the time of application, applicants must submit a GRE score report. The selected candidates must pass the Duolingo English Test.

The 2025 Fulbright Scholarship Program will accept applications through February 28, 2024.
