Hoshimzoda Homid Hasan, Tajikistan's First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, praised Avicenna Tajik State Medical University (ATSM) on Sunday for its crucial role in bolstering bilateral medical science and education cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan, characterizing the field as a pillar of people-to-people ties.

The Deputy Minister stated that medical sciences and education were bringing the two countries closer through youth-led institutional integration while speaking to a visiting team of Pakistani journalists led by Dr. Muhammad Abbas Mahar, CEO of MBBS Abroad Private Consultancy Pvt Limited.

He emphasized that both countries shared the goal of increasing cooperation in medical tourism, research, and intellectual exchange through higher education and health.

According to Hasan, Pakistan and Tajikistan are about to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote professor and student exchanges. This action is anticipated to strengthen academic ties and promote collaborative research projects.

He pointed out that through knowledge-sharing and cross-border mobility, such institutional cooperation will not only improve educational performance but also support wider economic growth.

In order to increase awareness of opportunities in medical education and tourism, the Deputy Minister emphasized the role of the media and stated that responsible reporting and consistent coverage were essential. He was optimistic that the visit from the Pakistani journalists would be a turning point in fostering understanding and growing collaboration in the field of health.

Hasan highlighted Tajikistan's increasing prominence as a regional center for education, pointing out that the nation's medical schools draw students from other nations because they meet international standards and provide state-of-the-art facilities.

In order to establish Tajikistan as a growing destination for high-quality and reasonably priced healthcare, he continued, the medical industry is also growing advanced medical tourism services, such as specialty procedures and treatments.

Speaking to the audience, Dr. Muhammad Abbas Mahar stated that ATSM presently accommodates about 450 Pakistani medical students, greatly expanding bilateral medical education exchanges.

He stated, "Tajikistan is poised to become a regional leader in medical education and health services, offering high-quality opportunities for international students," adding that Pakistani students were gaining from clinical exposure and cutting-edge curricula.

Officials mentioned Tajikistan's great potential in wellness tourism in addition to clinical care. There are about 45 sanatoriums and health resorts in the nation that provide mineral baths, mud therapy, herbal remedies, and rehabilitation programs for musculoskeletal disorders, respiratory ailments, and general recovery. This area is thought to be ideal for cooperation with Pakistan's travel and health sectors.

Top leadership in both Pakistan and Tajikistan reaffirmed their commitment to promoting interpersonal relationships, seeing collaboration in healthcare and education as crucial to establishing long-lasting and mutually beneficial bilateral ties.
