For the academic year 2025–2026, students can now enroll in Class XI based on their Class IX exam results, according to a new admission policy that the College Education Department of Sindh has legally approved.

This ruling is applicable to government colleges that take part in the SECCAP (Sindh Electronic Centralized College Admission Program).

Officials say the whole timeline and procedure are detailed in a notification released on Friday. The deadline for online applications is July 15, 2025, and they will be accepted through the SECCAP portal (www.seccap.dges.gos.pk) beginning on June 15, 2025.

All academic streams' placement lists will be released by July 22. XI and XII classes will start on August 1 and August 5, respectively.

The announcement additionally affirms that the College Zone System would continue to be in place for the Karachi area. Under this arrangement, universities in the defined zones will often admit students.

Grades B through E require students to apply within their designated zones; however, students with A+ or A grades can apply to any college of their choosing.

College admissions in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Larkana will be managed by regional directors of those colleges. The province-wide procedure will be overseen by the Director General of Colleges, Sindh.

Results from Class IX/O Level Part I will determine admissions. After the chairman of the SECCAP Committee 2025–2026 gives his permission, the Directorate General of Colleges’ IT department will be in charge of creating the faculty and gender placement lists.

After the placement lists are released, specific claim centers for male and female students will be established throughout the province to handle any issues raised by the students.

Students who want to reapply after previously enrolling in HSC or FSC must first cancel their previous board enrollment and SECCAP admittance.

Furthermore, applicants in this year's SECCAP project will not be permitted to apply if it has been more than five years since their last enrollment.
