The first technology-focused government school in Saudi Arabia, the Technological High School for Gifted Boys, was opened by Saudi Education Minister Yousef Al-Benyan at Tuwaiq Academy in Riyadh.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha, Tuwaiq Academy Chairman Faisal Al-Khamisi, and other technical and educational authorities were present at the ceremony.

The school employs a cutting-edge worldwide methodology that aims to empower students to create and produce ground-breaking initiatives by enhancing their technology skills and capacities.

Additionally, it emphasises education and scientific research, preparing students for technological specialisations both domestically and abroad.

The institution raises the bar for technology education in the Kingdom by staying up to date with emerging developments. Additionally, the school's students will compete and exhibit on a regional and international level on behalf of Saudi Arabia.

"Technology is a vital tool for navigating the future and has become fundamental to daily life," stated Naif bin Abed Al-Zari, the education director of Riyadh, emphasising the Ministry of Education's collaboration with Tuwaiq Academy.

Tuwaiq Academy CEO Abdulaziz Al-Hammadi described the collaboration as a pillar for the advancement of technical education.

Through an immersive, application-based curriculum and international certifications in specialised programs, the new educational institution aims to develop future talent.

According to Al-Hammadi, in just the first semester of operation, students at the school have obtained more than 120 professional certificates from significant international corporations.

The two ministers reviewed the learning environment by touring the technical school and academy's facilities, watching programs, boot camps, and events, and speaking with students.

The institution provides specialised courses in data science, digital manufacturing, cybersecurity, programming, and other subjects.

It will showcase Saudi talent in a variety of technical fields and prepare students for major competitions such as the National Olympiad for Programming and Artificial Intelligence, the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Competition and Exhibition, and the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.
