Rawalpindi Board Gives Relief to Students Who Missed Matric Exams

For students who were unable to take the Matric Second Annual Examination in 2025 because of law and order concerns or other unforeseen events, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has issued a special relief provision.

BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Muhammad Adnan Khan said in a statement released on Wednesday that the decision was taken to guarantee that no student will be denied the opportunity to take the exams for uncontrollable reasons.

By 12 noon on Friday, October 17, students who were absent from their papers on October 10, 11, or 13 can turn in a written application explaining their absence to the office of the Controller of Examinations, Board Complex, Morgah, Rawalpindi, accompanied by their roll number slip.

The board stated that the following subjects were impacted: Arabic, poultry farming, Punjabi, Persian, computer science, commercial and technical drawing, military science, translation of the Holy Quran, food and dress making, fashion designing, English (compulsory), Islamic education, and Muslim history.

GCWU Student Attempts Suicide

Following poor exam scores, a first-year student at Government College Women University (GCWU) made an attempt on her life on Wednesday.

A university representative claims that Zainab, 19, leaped from the steps because she was upset over her exam results.

Following their prompt arrival on the scene, Rescue 1122 staff moved her to Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital, where she is presently undergoing treatment. Her condition is stable, according to hospital officials.
