Punjab to Hire 25000 Teachers Under STIs Scheme

The provincial education minister revealed on Tuesday that the Punjab government allowed the hiring of 25,000 School Teacher Interns (STIs) under its internship program.

One and a half thousand of the already recruited interns will continue their assignments, the minister said.

Furthermore, an additional 12,500 applicants will shortly be hired for seven- or nine-month internships.

Advertisements and further information for the upcoming round of hiring will be released soon, according to the notice.Candidates were encouraged to get ready beforehand.

The minister also promised that the recruiting procedure will continue to be open and transparent, with a quota allotted to each district to guarantee equitable opportunities throughout the province.

UHS Announces Exam Dates for DPT and BS Students

The examination schedule for the University of Health Sciences' (UHS) Allied Health Sciences programs has been finalized.

Under the direction of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ahsan Waheed Rathore, the UHS Board of Studies in Allied Health Sciences held its 35th meeting on Monday, where the decision was made.

Board Convener Dr. Saba Khaliq, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nadia Naseem, Registrar Kiran Fatima, and principals from associated institutions were present at the meeting.

Annual exams for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences will start in 2025, based on the authorized timetable. 

The first professional test for BS Allied Health Sciences will take place in the third week of February 2026, followed by the third professional exam in March and the fourth professional exam in April.

In the same vein, the DPT professional tests will be held in February 2026 for the first, second, and third exams; late March for the fourth professional; and April for the final professional.

Classes for the Fall 2025 BS in Allied Health Sciences will begin on October 16, the board also confirmed.

Furthermore, it was determined that no connected college would begin an undergraduate program until ten or more students were enrolled.
