Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah chaired a high-level meeting attended by IG Sindh, the Additional Chief Secretary (Home), the Secretary of Services, and other senior officials, where the decision was approved.
Chief Secretary Shah emphasized throughout the discussion that enhancing police investigative capabilities is crucial to fostering public trust.
According to him, this program will improve the police's capacity to carry out in-depth investigations, guarantee prompt justice, and assist in reducing crime.
Additionally, he directed officials to promptly address any obstacles in the hiring process.
IG Sindh backed the decision, pointing out that more ASIs will improve the caliber of investigations and guarantee tougher measures against criminal elements.
A revised version of the Counter Terrorism Department's (CTD) "Grey Book," which now contains profiles of 81 most-wanted suspects, was also just issued. The list includes cases of armed robberies, kidnapping for ransom, murder, attempted murder, and run-ins with the law.
All law enforcement agencies will soon have access to the revised Grey Book, according to authorities, which will help them identify and apprehend prominent criminals throughout the province.
