The Medical and Dental College in Larkana's MD-CAT entrance exam paper was leaked ahead of schedule, and mafia members allegedly sold students the answer keys for exorbitant prices of between Rs. 1 million and Rs. 1.2 million each.

The controversy first came to light, according to the 24NewsHD TV program, some hours prior to the exam. Large-scale misconduct was exposed by the answer keys that were obtained through leaks prior to the test.

There are 4,812 candidates for the admission exam, which is set for this morning. Of these, 2,591 male and 2,211 female students are registered.

Security Measures for MDCAT 2024

In order to maintain the integrity of the test process, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, mobile and internet connections will be unavailable within 500 meters of all 26 exam centers. This action is intended to deter cheating and guarantee an equitable testing environment.

NED University and Dow University Ojha Campus have been designated as the two primary exam locations in Karachi. 12,846 candidates in total are anticipated to sit for the exam; 6,846 will appear at Dow University and 6,000 at NED University.

In an effort to deter cheating, the Sindh Home Department has implemented Section 144 around exam centers and outlawed the use of wallets, cell phones, and other electronic devices. There will be a jamming of mobile signals to further hinder any wrongdoing.

Only between 7 and 9 am is entry permitted for the exam, which is scheduled to run from 10 am to 1:30 pm. The 858 available seats in the city's medical and dental faculties are divided into 746 open merit and 112 self-finance slots.

Gates of examination centers closed in Larkana

At the beginning of the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in Larkana, there was mayhem as the examination facilities' gates were locked, trapping a large number of applicants outside and inspiring their parents to attempt to pick the locks, according to 24NewsHD TV.

Students were denied entry at Karachi’s examination center.

Similar incidents were seen at NED University in Karachi, where students who arrived just a short while after the scheduled time due to traffic were denied access into the examination venue.

The institution, according to the students, should have been aware that there had been heavy traffic on Institution Road since the morning.

They bemoaned the fact that Karachi's traffic had made their labors useless.

A female candidate's parents said that their daughter was hurt when the rickshaw she was riding in overturned.

She managed to go to the university; however, they claimed she was not permitted to enter the exam room.

Female candidates in Karachi were told to remove jewelry.

When the Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi requested female students taking the test to remove their jewelry and give it to their parents before they could enter the examination center, the students had to endure a harrowing experience.

Conversely, the parents griped about how the girls would be able to find them so quickly after two hours of standing in line.

The parents reported that although their daughters were crying, the administration showed no signs of concern for them.

They insisted that the administration of the university be subject to action from the Sindh government.
