KP Plans to Establish World-Class Cyber Security Institute in Peshawar.

The Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has made the decision in principle to open an international cyber security institute in Peshawar to guarantee that the province's youth have access to cyber security education resources.
In a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur on Tuesday, the decision was made.
The meeting was attended by Meena Khan Afridi, the provincial minister of higher education, the director of the National Center for Cyber Security, the managing director of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board, and the administrative secretaries of the departments of science technology and information technology.
At the conference, it was resolved to open a freshly designed cyber security institute that will provide bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs in cyber security in an existing government building.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Gandapur gave the heads of the departments of ST&IT and Higher Education instructions to complete the procedures for establishing a cyber security institute and to submit workable plans for official approval as soon as possible.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa badly needed a specialized cyber security institute, and the current provincial administration will make sure the institute has all the resources it needs.
He went on to say that now was the right time to make investments in the information technology industry and take advantage of its enormous potential. He said that in the future, divisional headquarters would also be home to these cyber security institutes run by the government.
According to Ali Amin Gandapur, the provincial government is dedicated to giving young people in the province access to modern information technology education and training, as well as opportunities for employment at the national and international levels. He also mentioned that the youth in the province possess exceptional talent, and the government will make every effort to give them opportunities in every possible sector.
