With effect from September 10, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has banned all teacher postings and transfers.

The Education Department claims that since classes have begun following summer breaks, the decision was made because any transfer at this point could interfere with the learning process.

Teachers from all cadres have been instructed not to submit transfer requests to the Secretariat or the Minister of Education's office.

Additionally, the agency has issued a warning that anyone attempting to request transfers under the embargo will face severe consequences.

All district offices are now required to make sure that the ban is strictly followed. Transfers are strictly subject to the e-transfer rules and will only be permitted once a year during holidays.

The education minister stressed that uninterrupted learning must continue to be the top priority and asked educators to give their all to the education of children now that classes have resumed.

Enrollment of Child Laborers in Schools

To prevent child labor and make sure that kids are enrolled in school rather than being compelled into working, the Punjab Education Department has set stringent guidelines.

When the department saw that children were working in hotels, workshops, and other establishments, it mandated that they be allowed to attend schools. In order to locate and enroll these kids in the educational system, the Labor Department has also been urged to work with District Education Authorities.

The department also mandated that impoverished and orphaned children be registered right away. Afternoon classes will be organized for older kids so they can finish their education.

In order to maintain strong monitoring throughout the province, the Punjab Education Department has made the decision to closely monitor children's activities and ensure regular attendance.

Assistant Education Officers (AEOs), Deputy CEOs, and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) have been directed to make sure the notification is fully implemented.
