Kazakhstan plans to establish new research centers and deepen its relations with international universities in order to satisfy the region's increasing need for higher education.

How are students being helped with deep tech development and entrepreneurship in light of the new AI initiatives that are being implemented?

Given that there are over a billion people in Central Asia and Eurasia under the age of 25, Kazakhstan is positioning itself as a regional hub for higher education to meet the growing demand for these services.

The organization aims to have 150,000 international students by 2029, nearly five times the current enrollment.

The majority attend medical schools in India, with China, Russia, Pakistan, Turkey, Germany, and the United States following.

Kazakhstan is establishing collaborative research centers centered on essential minerals and collaborating with Western universities to open their campuses. Funding student-led startups from early learning through incubation and acceleration is another way the government is supporting AI innovation.

Harvard was accused of violating the civil rights of its Israeli and Jewish students by the Trump administration on Monday. The government also threatened to stop all federal funding unless the university took immediate action.

Donald Trump has been using Harvard as a focal point in his campaign against prestigious US colleges because it refused to comply with his demands for inspection of its hiring practices, curriculum, student recruitment, and "viewpoint diversity."

Trump and his supporters assert that Harvard and other elite universities are unaccountable for their anti-Semitism and liberal, anti-conservative bias.

Along with instructing US embassies worldwide to refuse visas to foreign students wishing to enroll at the Massachusetts-based university, the Trump administration has also attempted to have Harvard removed from an electronic student immigration registry.

Harvard has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security and other agencies to stop the activities, claiming that they were unlawful and unconstitutional. The courts have temporarily halted those actions.

A significant source of revenue, international students made up 27% of Harvard's overall enrollment in the 2024–2025 academic year.
