The second annual conference of the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) will take place at Allama Iqbal Open University in Islamabad from October 23 to 24, 2024.
The conference, with the theme "Building a Brighter Future: The Role of Technology in Assessment," intends to investigate how technology might transform educational evaluation systems in Pakistan and around the world.
Education professionals, legislators, and tech specialists will come together for the two-day event to discuss important concerns related to the use of digital tools in assessment procedures. Promoting creative methods that improve educational evaluations' efficiency, fairness, and transparency is the aim.
The Chief Guest for the opening ceremony will be Minister of Federal Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. In addition to capacity-building workshops offering useful insights on putting digital solutions into practice and developing standardized assessment frameworks, the first day will include panel discussions centered on the problems and solutions associated with technology in examination systems.
The second day will feature more participatory workshops and panel discussions, giving participants the chance to look more closely at how technology is affecting education and consider how to update evaluation methods in Pakistani schools.
National and international educational boards and partner organizations, such as Cambridge International Education, Pearson Pakistan, TMUC, Oxford AQA, Learning Resource Network, FTI Consultants, EDUFOCUS, International Baccalaureate, Denning Pakistan, and Trinity School, Lahore, will also be represented at the conference.
These and other partners will shed important light on how Pakistani education and assessments will develop in the future.
