The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), UK-funded Commonwealth Scholarships 2025, are now accepting applications, according to the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Through postgraduate study options at UK universities, the program seeks to advance international development and higher education for Pakistani students.

Seat Distribution

Thirty PhD slots and twenty-six master's seats are available.

Qualifications

Candidates must be AJK or Pakistani citizens and permanent residents.It is required to have a First Division in the final degree.Holders with dual nationality are not qualified.

A master's degree requires at least 16 years of study, while a doctorate requires 17–18 years of study (MS/MPhil).It is necessary to receive at least 60 out of 100 points in HAT (General Category I–IV).Only HAT scores will be used to determine merit lists.

Conditions for CSC UK

By September 2026, the chosen scholars must start their studies in the UK.Two references and a full academic record are necessary.A supporting statement from a UK supervisor is required of PhD applicants.

Only in rare circumstances may scholarships for a second master's degree be taken into consideration.Candidates must exhibit a need for money.

 How to Apply

Apply online using the CSC portal (UK) and the HEC portal.Academic transcripts, CNIC/domicile, two reference letters, HAT results, and, for PhD candidates, a research plan and supervisor's statement are also required.

Neither of the applications will be accepted if they are not submitted by the deadline.
