A new computer science curriculum for 2025 has been announced by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), which includes over 14 advanced specializations to match academic study with both Pakistan's digital transformation objectives and worldwide technological trends.

Modern subjects like artificial intelligence (AI), data science, cybersecurity, robotics, and quantum computing are included in the updated curriculum, according to the HEC. Furthermore, it incorporates a professional certification component to guarantee that graduates gain both industry-recognized skills and academic understanding.

The updated curriculum, developed with input from government agencies, industry experts, and schools, focuses heavily on senior projects and hands-on experience as outlined in the Undergraduate Education Policy 2023.
