Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, has emphasized the importance of implementing contemporary technologies in order to progress the nation.

Speaking at the Tech Lab's opening ceremony today at National Textile University in Karachi, he claimed that information technology had replaced the industrial and scientific eras in the world.

According to the minister, it will abruptly change drastically over the next 25 to 30 years, leaving many nations behind that have not embraced the most recent developments.

Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said China used technology to lift its people out of impoverished circumstances.

Dr. Siddiqui stressed in his keynote speech how urgently Pakistan must adopt technological innovation to keep up with developments throughout the world. 

He used examples from nearby nations to show how countries like China have used technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), to revolutionize their economies and generate a large number of job opportunities. In order to equip its young people for the opportunities and challenges of the future, he urged Pakistan to make investments in technology-driven education and training.

The industrial era is giving way quickly to an era powered by information technology. According to Dr. Siddiqui, countries that do not adjust to this change would be left behind in the next 25 to 30 years. Our neighbors have grown into tech behemoths, creating a wealth of employment prospects for their citizens. Pakistan needs to prepare for the demands of the modern world.

Furthermore, Dr. Siddiqui emphasized the importance of academia and education in determining Pakistan's future, asserting that Karachi's growth is closely linked to the country's growth. In order to spur economic growth, he promised to expand educational possibilities throughout Pakistan, concentrating on incorporating technology into the curriculum.

Key figures such as Federal Secretary of Education Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani, HEC Chairman Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Director of the NTU Karachi Campus Dr. Khalid Pasha, CEO of Jaffer Business Systems (JBS) Veqar ul Islam, and academics and university faculty attended the inauguration ceremony.
