FDE Introduces New Textbooks for Classes Pre-1 to 5

Beginning with the academic year 2025, the freshly published textbooks for Grades 1–5 will be used in all of Islamabad's educational institutions, stated by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE).
With its interactive content, student-centered learning activities, and emphasis on 21st-century skills development, these innovative textbooks aim to revolutionize the classroom experience.
In order to guarantee broad accessibility, the textbooks are also accessible online, making them easily accessible to educators and learners nationwide.
The Federal Secretary for Education is spearheading the effort, directing that these digital textbooks be pre-installed on computers in ICT labs and on the much-anticipated Chromebooks that are being introduced in classrooms.
The Federal Secretary for Education highlighted that each textbook has QR codes that provide rapid access to rich online learning tools for students who prefer printed editions.
Key Features of the New Textbooks
Every textbook is completely in line with Pakistan's National Curriculum and provides teachers with extensive teaching resources by providing QR-coded access to lesson plans through a centralized Learning Management System (LMS).
The textbooks use a storybook format and incorporate gamified components, practice exercises, and captivating narratives to make studying enjoyable and significant for young students.
In order to promote deeper comprehension and long-term memory, the new materials have a strong emphasis on experiential learning through practical exercises, projects, and reflection-based activities.
The curriculum places a lot of emphasis on developing critical thinking, creativity, communication, and teamwork—skills that are vital for children in a world that is changing quickly.

The Sindh textbook board has also published all its books online, giving access to students to download and use these books as online resources. The chairperson said that it's a great event in Sindh's educational landscape, as students can now access books from anywhere .
