Rana Sikandar Hayat, the Punjab Education Minister, declared that the provincial administration had finished gathering information on schools that lacked extra classrooms and necessary infrastructure.

The minister pledged to fix the missing infrastructure in all public schools, in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's vision. Data regarding extra classrooms and facilities that are missing from Punjabi schools has been acquired, according to an official statement by Rana Sikandar Hayat.

He asked teachers and school administrators to contact the Education Helpline at 0316-0261408 right now if their schools still lack basic facilities like classrooms, clean drinking water, boundary walls, or restroom blocks.

"As declared by Madam Chief Minister, we will ensure that 100% of missing facilities are provided across Punjab's schools, Inshallah," he said, restating the government's vow.

The education department has already initiated the process of determining which schools require improvement work. Students, especially those in rural and undeveloped areas, will benefit from a safer and more comfortable learning environment thanks to the program.

Punjab Schools to Get Zebra Crossings

The government of Lahore has expedited a citywide project to erect warning signs and zebra crossings outside schools situated on major highways in order to make students' trips safer. Within two weeks, officials report that 45% of the work has been finished.

The program, which was started at the direction of Lahore Commissioner Maryam Khan, initially focuses on 210 schools that are under the control of the Cantonment Boards, Lahore Development Authority (LDA), and Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL). As to the administration, 90 schools have zebra crossings and signboards constructed thus far by the Transport and Planning Authority (TAPA).

The deadline for finishing the project is November 6. As part of the concept, all sides of the roadways leading to school entrances will have crossings and warning signs.
