The China-Pakistan Digital Education Alliance was established last week, marking a significant advancement in the countries' collaborative efforts in education.

In order to strengthen Pakistan's technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system and make it a leading hub for digital education, ITMC Technology Co., Ltd. and UNI International jointly launched the alliance with more than 160 Chinese and Pakistani partners in TVET.

Local media stated that the alliance's foundation was announced during the 2nd Belt and Road International Skills Competition's International Digital Skills Exchange Seminar, which took place in Chongqing, China, from June 24 to June 26.

Both online and offline, more than two hundred specialists from both nations—representing over 140 colleges and universities—saw the historic occasion.

Rao Rashid Ali, the Pakistani director general of Punjab TEVTA, is in charge of the collaboration.

By doing this, Pakistan's TVET system will be strengthened and elevated to the status of a premier hub for digital education. This week in Beijing, the two nations reached a significant milestone in the field of education.

The partnership was unveiled on June 24–26 in Chongqing, during the International Digital Skills Exchange Seminar of the 2nd Belt and Road International Skills Competition.

Rashid Ali underlined the partnership's importance in reducing Pakistan's digital skills gap and its capacity to fundamentally alter the country's educational framework.

Professor Xue Maoyun, a native of China and the former president of Jiangsu Commerce Vocational and Technical College, joined the alliance as chairman. He emphasized that developing mutually beneficial collaborations and expanding digital education are common goals.

The lecture was also attended by Afifa Shajia Awais, Counselor of Education, and Muhammad Omar, Counselor and Head of Chancery at the Pakistani Embassy in China.

Omar praised China's accomplishments in the talent transformation space, particularly in the cultivation of highly trained individuals. He expressed hope that Pakistan's educational institutions may be improved by drawing on China's expertise in the field of digital transformation.
