Job Description:

TESCO is seeking exceptional and dynamic professionals to serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to manage and lead its operations. The ideal candidate should be committed to conservation, results-oriented, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and credibility. The CEO will be responsible for leading the company through strategic governance, efficient operations, and continued growth in the power distribution sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage TESCO’s operations effectively.
  • Guide the company towards persistent growth and value creation.
  • Build and lead strong leadership and management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and sector regulations.
  • Implement best practices in governance, change management, and strategic restructuring.
  • Represent TESCO to stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
  • Deliver results in challenging environments aligned with national energy goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 16 years of education in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management Sciences, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or be a professional accountant.
  • At least 20 years of verifiable professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of Senior Management Experience, with:
  • Public Sector candidates qualifying if they have served at BS-20 or equivalent.
  • Private Sector candidates must have served at C-level positions.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Full familiarity with the power distribution industry and its regulations.
  • Proven track record in delivering results through strategic change.
  • Knowledge of international best practices in corporate governance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must meet Fit and Proper Criteria under relevant government regulations.
  • Prior experience in a senior role in a power distribution company is preferred.
  • Upper age limit: 62 years on the closing date of the advertisement.
