The A-level mathematics paper leak investigation has been concluded by Cambridge International Education (CIE), and it has been decided to retake the exam at no cost.

Additionally, it was decided that students who retake the math exam will not be assessed costs.

An advance web leak revealed the contents of the mathematics paper scheduled for May 2.

The organization has made the decision to postpone the exam after two and a half months of investigation. The performance of the students in the second exam paper will now determine their scores for the AS Level Mathematics course.

Cambridge sent an email to principals informing them that they had examined data indicating that numerous students in Pakistan had access to the AS Level Mathematics paper prior to the test.

Cambridge continued, saying, "Making sure we treat the majority of students fairly is our top priority." It went on to say that they want to make sure that every student is treated fairly when applying to universities and that they want to stop any advantage gained by cheating.

May saw reports, according to Cambridge International Education, of a potential leak of the AS Level Mathematics exam paper (9709, paper 12), which was administered on May 2, 2024. They carried out a comprehensive inquiry and are grateful for the schools' and kids' cooperation and patience at this time.

Furthermore, CIE declared that students may retake the test in November without having to pay the examination cost.

In Pakistan, exam leaks are not unusual. A number of examples have been documented, such as the physics and computer science papers that were leaked in Karachi earlier this year, just minutes before the exams started.
