Job Description:
The Senior PostgreSQL Developer will lead the migration of MS SQL Server databases to PostgreSQL, optimizing performance, designing efficient database structures, and ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the migration of databases from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL
- Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing
- Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, tables, and stored procedures
- Perform database maintenance, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues
- Mentor junior developers and implement best practices
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory
Requirements:
- Proven expertise in both MS SQL and PostgreSQL
- Advanced knowledge of database migration tools, performance tuning, and security
- Familiarity with high-availability setups and replication techniques
Other:
- Candidates must be able to commute to Gulberg 3, Lahore
- Evening shift (5:00 PM to 2:00 AM) is required
