LinkedIn analyzed more than 4,000 "super" job seekers, who were members of LinkedIn who viewed a job at a specific business and joined that company within three months, in order to help job seekers be hired as rapidly as possible. LinkedIn looked into the website activity of those successful job seekers over their three-month job search.

How LinkedIn Can Land You a Job

1. Update your profile with fresh skills

In order for recruiters looking for people with your background to find you, add pertinent abilities to your profile. Five or more skills were mentioned on the profiles of more than 90% of those who obtained employment within three months.

Having said that, make sure to use the appropriate terminology; "skilled, passionate, and motivated" is no longer sufficient. A profile photo helps to convey a warm and welcoming image by adding a face to a name. In the three months or fewer, nearly 90% of those hired had a profile photo. Just be certain that the shot is, in fact, well done. Both a high-quality headshot and a selfie are preferable to a picture of you out on the town.

4. Keep building new connections

Expand your network to increase your visibility, gain access to new businesses, and learn about new career prospects. 87 percent of job seekers who got employment swiftly had made 10 or more connections in the previous three months. Connect with anyone who you think can help you land a job or might be of your industry.

5. Join LinkedIn groups relevant to your sector

Join groups to connect with people, ask questions, and keep an eye out for job postings from other group members. More than 80% of those who found new employment within three months were active members of LinkedIn groups. The actions of joining groups and establishing connections go hand in hand because these groups are a fantastic area to develop the connections mentioned above.

6. Get your skills endorsed

Receiving endorsements for your abilities can help you convince employers that you have what it takes to complete the job, rather than merely telling them.
