Confucius: Introduction and History
Confucius said, "Don't worry about those who don't value you; worry about those who don't value others." Students do not value their valuable time, and students who do not value their time worry about their academic results.
Confucius, the founder of Confucianism, an important philosophy in China, was born in 551 BC. He was a philosopher and scholar. He suffered from financial hardship and psychological emptiness in his childhood. At the age of 15, he had a quest to find the truth and began to spend all his time acquiring knowledge. Later, he joined a famous university in China. At the age of 21, Confucius opened a school for young people who wanted to learn about good government and good character. He also met Lao Tzu, the founder of Taoism.
At the age of 47, he was given a political post in his homeland, which allowed him to put his ideas about government into practice. His results were so spectacular that the surrounding states became alarmed and started plotting against him. So he was exiled for thirteen years. At the age of 68, Confucius returned from exile and, until the end (479 BC), was busy compiling his nation's historical materials, poems, folk tales and social rituals.
The disciples of Confucius called him King Fuze, meaning Master King. Confucius made more than 3,000 people his disciples. More than 70 of these students became famous as intellectuals. This great thinker emphasised morality and education. He wrote several books, the most famous of which was 'Gulsta Tahrir'. Those who follow Confucian, moral thought exist in various countries, including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Vietnam.
The works of Confucius
The most famous of Confucius' writings is a document containing his sayings, called the 'Lunyu' in Chinese. The disciples of Confucius put together this book after he passed away in the second century BC, but he also left behind a few writings for modern and professional needs.
Also recorded was the historical situation of the 12 Dukes of Liu in the form of a book, 'Documents of Spring and Autumn'. In addition, during the last years of his life, which he spent teaching in his hometown, he edited the Chinese classical literature books 'Book of Songs' and 'Collection of Documents'.

Confucian Philosophy of Education
Confucius' philosophy of education consists of six arts: archery, calligraphy, music, ritual, accounting and bookkeeping. Confucius refers to an educated man as a person who teaches others to live with honour and dignity. He was connected with his political philosophy, which is based on a sense of responsibility. Every individual should fulfil his responsibility, which is not possible without character reformation, while character can be strengthened by following the values present in the tradition.
About good government, he says, "Good government is established on the point that the ruler acts as a ruler, the minister as the minister, the father as the father and the son as the son.".
Confucius Says
A person who neglects effort and action is destined to be left behind. One should not lose heart in adversity. It should be faced with courage. Courage works harder than strength. What is the feeling? Consider the pain of others as your pain. A man is one whose self benefits others; otherwise, he is a stone.
