Education is the key to success. We all know the importance of education in our daily lives. If we read or write anything, it's all because of education. Many famous people believed in the power of education throughout their lives. It ignites curiosity and, hence, leads to the realm of inventions and discoveries. 1. Punjab University

This university is considered as one of the oldest universities in Pakistan. Punjab University was established during the British Raj, and she is still serving Pakistan. This institute of excellence is famous for research and technology. If we talk about it's notable alumini's, then the list is very long. Noble Prize winner Dr. Abdus Salam, human rights activist Asma Jahangir, renowned Indian actor Prem Chopra, and many other notable figures graduated from this university.

2. University of Sindh

The University of Sindh is a leading higher education institute in the country. The university was established in 1947 but formally started its operations in 1951. It is located in Jamshoro, Sindh. The institute caters to the needs of education in the whole province, with more than thirty thousand students. There are 43 departments currently busy in giving quality education. 3. NED University of Engineering and Technology

NED University of Engineering and Technology is a biggest name in public sector engineering universities in Pakistan. It was first established as Government Engineering College but then renamed in 1924 in honor of Nadirshaw Edulji Dinshaw, who heavily donated for it's development. Her notable alumini includes Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh, Moiz Ullah Baig, Pakistani Scrabble player and many more. 

4. Islamia College Peshawar

Islamia College Peshawar is a educational institute established in 1913 during the British period. This university has a significant contribution to the movement of Pakistan. The campus spreaded over 300 acres and includes historical buildings with Islamic and colonial structures. Some prominent alumni include former PM of Pakistan Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and literary figures like Qateel Shifai.

5. King Edward Medical University

In medical education, this university is one of the oldest institutions in Pakistan. It was established in 1860 as Lahore Medical School but later renamed King Edward Medical College in 1911 in the memory of King Edward VII. It is affiliated with Mayo Hospital, Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lady Willingdon Hospital, and Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital. These hospitals provide clinical training to KEMU students.

6. Government College University (GCU) Lahore

GCU is also among the oldest universities in Pakistan. It was founded in 1864 as a college, the university secured the rank of university in 2002. It is recognized for it's academic excellence. It has 29 academic departments divided into different faculties. In the list of aluminis Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the poet of east, Dev Anand, Indian actor; Dr. Har Gobind Khorana, Nobel Prize in Medicine, Ali Zafar, singer and many more.
