Eligibility

PhD (ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING)
  • Completion of at least 18 years of education (MS/MPhil/equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, or any other related field, from an HEC recognized university. The degree has to be recognized by PEC.
  • Scored at least 70% in the annual system, or CGPA of at least 3.0, in the (MS/MPhil/equivalent) degree. Thesis work is mandatory.
  • Scored CGPA at least 2.0 or equivalent percentage in BS degree as per HEC guideline .
  • Scored 60% marks or above in intermediate, or equivalent examination.
  • Scored 60% marks or above in matriculation, or equivalent examination.
  • Passed the ITU Graduate test and interview
  • Applicants to the PhD programs have to take the ITU Graduate Admission Test.
  • The ITU Graduate Admission Test will be held at the ITU campus in Arfa Software Technology Park in Lahore.

PhD (COMPUTER SCIENCE)
  • Completion of 18 years of education (MS/MPhil/equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or any other related field, from an HEC recognized university*
  • Scored at least first division in the annual system, or CGPA of at least 3.0, in the relevant terminal degree. Thesis work is mandatory during MS/M Phil. (Percentage will only be considered if CGPA is not mentioned on the transcript)
  • Scored CGPA at least 2.0 or equivalent percentage in BS degree as per HEC guideline .
  • Scored 60% marks or above in matriculation, or equivalent examination.
  • Scored 60% marks or above in intermediate, or equivalent examination.
  • Scored at least 60% in the ITU Graduate Admissions test and interview
  • A candidate must have strong computer science skills such as programming in different languages
  • A candidate must have strong analytical and writing skills
  • A candidate must have strong research background. Previous publications will be a plus point
  • Applicants to the PhD programs have to take the ITU Graduate Admission Test. A minimum score of 60% is required.

How to Register

Application Process:

  • Visit the website or the branch.
  • The opening of the admissions cycle will be announced by ITU. This announcement will be made on the ITU website and through print and electronic media, including Urdu and English newspapers, Facebook, Twitter etc. The Admissions Calendar is available.
  • Applicants will register and apply through the online admission form available. Only those candidates who have submitted complete applications, and meet the Eligibility Criteria will be considered.
  • Eligible applicants will be invited to take the ITU Admissions Test in Lahore.
  • Applicants need to fill an online form, (https://itu.edu.pk/application/web/site/signup).
  • Shortlisted candidates to the Graduate and Post-Graduate programs may be called for interviews.
  • Admission decisions will be communicated.
  • After filling the online application form, the students need to post the following to ITU;
  • Payment Proof
  •  One copy of CNIC/Form B
  • One color photograph
