Program	Eligibility
PhD Mechanical Engineering	18 Year of Education, MS (Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communication Engineering) with Minimum of 3.00/4.00 CGPA (Semester System) or 1st division in Annual System from HEC/PEC recognized university/ institute. A candidate who has passed the MS or equivalent degree with non-thesis option is not eligible for admission in Ph.D. program at UOL The university will conduct the test according to HEC policy and a minimum 70 percent passing marks will be required for admission into PhD degree program. A seminar based on a single page statement of research has to be given by the candidate plus an interview will be conducted to explore the suitability of candidate for research.
PhD Electrical Engineering	18 Years of Education, MS/MPhil or Equivalent degree from HEC/PEC recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 in the semester system or 60% marks in the annual system. A Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test administered by the Education Testing Service, or a Graduate Admission Test administered by the Education Testing Council, or an equivalent test developed by UOL is mandatory to pass. The applicant must also submit a Statement of Purpose for the interview.
PhD Civil Engineering	18 Year of Education, MS (Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communication Engineering) with Minimum of 3.00/4.00 CGPA (Semester System) or 1st division in Annual System from HEC/PEC recognized university/ institute. PhD Software Engineering	18 Years of Education, MS/MPhil or Equivalent degree (with at least 6 credit hours thesis) from HEC/PEC recognized university with minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA in semester system or 60% marks in annual system. A minimum of 60% percentile score is required in case of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test administered by the Education Testing Service or a Graduate Admission Test (GAT) administered by the Education Testing Council or 70% score in an equivalent Admission Test developed and administered by The University of Lahore.
PhD Computer Science	18 Year of Education, MS/MPhil degree in relevant field (with at least 6 credit hours thesis) from HEC recognized University/ Institute with 3.0/4.0 CGPA in the Semester System or 1st Division in the Annual System. In the case of GAT Subject test a minimum of 60% marks is required to pass. In the case GRE subject test, a Minimum 60% Percentile Score is required to pass. If the Test is not available in NTS subject list, then a University Committee consisting of at least 3 PhD faculty members in the subject area and approved by the HEC will conduct the Test at par with GRE Subject Test and qualifying score for this will be 70% score.
PhD Pharmaceutics	18 Years of Education, MS/MPhil or Equivalent degree from HEC recognized university with minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA in semester system or 60% marks in annual system. Candidate having a basic degree in Pharmacy/ MBBS/ equivalent must be registered with concerned Council. UOL Entry Test is mandatory.
PhD Pharmaceutical Chemistry	18 Year of Education, M. Phil/equivalent degree in the relevant subject with Minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA in semester system or 1st Division in the annual system. Candidate must have a basic degree in Pharmacy and registered with the respective Provincial Pharmacy Council. UOL Entry Test is mandatory.
PhD Pharmacognosy	18 Years of Education, MS/MPhil or Equivalent degree from HEC recognized university with minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA in semester system or 60% marks in annual system. Candidate having a basic degree in Pharmacy/ MBBS/ equivalent must be registered with concerned Council. UOL Entry Test is mandatory.
PhD Mathematics	18 Year of Education, MS/MPhil in the relevant field (with at least 6 Credit hours Thesis) from HEC recognized University/ Institute, with Minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA in semester system or 1st Division in annual system. Note: Subject Test. UOL Entry Test / Interview is mandatory or the candidate may appear in the following test scheduled In the case of the GAT Subject test a minimum of 60% marks is required to pass the. In the case of, GRE subject test, a minimum 60% Percentile Score is required to pass the test.
PhD Chemistry	18 Year of Education, MS/MPhil or Equivalent (in relevant field) with at least 1st Division or 3.00/4.00 CGPA. UOL Entry Test and Interview is Mandatory.
PhD Physics	18 Year of Education, MS/M.Phil. in relevant field with Minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA or 1st Division or Equivalent UOL Entry Test / Interview is mandatory.
PhD Environmental Science	16/18 Years of Education, BS/MS/MPhil or Equivalent degree from HEC recognized university with a minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA in the semester system or 60% marks in the annual system. In case a student has previously completed a graduate degree in the relevant discipline (MS/MPhil/Equivalent), a credit for prior coursework may be allowed for up to 50% of the total coursework requirement of the Ph.D. program.
PhD Economics	18 Year of Education, M.Phil. Equivalent Degree in Economics with Minimum 3.0/4.0 CGPA or 60% marks. GAT-Subject with Minimum 60% marks or Dept. Test.  Must have done M. Phil Thesis.
PhD Psychology	18 years of education and an MS/MPhil or equivalent degree.
PhD Immunology and Molecular Pathology	18 Year of Education, in relevant field or equivalent with Minimum 3.0/4.0 CGPA in semester system or 1st Division / 70% marks in annual system. UOL Scholastic Aptitude Test Pass the interview by the PhD Admissions Committee of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. UOL Entry Test / Interview is mandatory.
PhD Virology & Molecular Pathology	18 Year of Education, in relevant field or equivalent with Minimum 3.0/4.0 CGPA in semester system or 1st Division / 70% marks in annual system. UOL Scholastic Aptitude Test. Pass the interview by the PhD Admissions Committee of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. UOL Entry Test / Interview is mandatory.
PhD Zoology	16/18 Years of Education, BS/MS/MPhil or Equivalent degree from HEC recognized university with minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA in semester system or 60% marks in annual system. All the applicants having MS/MPhil or Equivalent degree (18 Years Education) may be given waiver in coursework as per HEC policy. UOL Entry Test / Interview is mandatory

How to Register

Application Instructions:

• Admission application are accepted through an online admission portal. By hand or by courier forms will not be accepted. The Online Admission Form must be filled according to the steps. The applicants are encouraged to read the information carefully before filling up the online Admission Form (please visit website http://uol.edu.pk/admissions/).
• You can pay online Rupees. 2500/-via Credit /Debit Card while online form submission or visit UOL Campus to buy prospectus and get Form/Voucher number.
• Admission office hours given: Monday to Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm) Saturday & Sunday (9:00am to 3:00pm).
• An applicant can apply in three degree programs at a time. However, he or she will not be charged for extra choice.
• Original scan/hard copies of the following documents are required to be uploaded on online admission Form: a) 01 recent blue/white background passport size photographs b) All academics documents i.e (Matric, Inter, Bachelor and Master degrees or IBCC /HEC equivalent c) CNIC card of the applicant or Form B or Father CNIC.
• In order to get admission in any degree program, the applicants are required to qualify UOL Entrance Test, Interview or both (if any).
• The selection of applicants shall be on merit, determined on the basis of marks obtained in the last examination, entry test / interview (if any) and such other criteria as University may determine.
• All admissions are granted on a Provisional basis. It is the sole responsibility of the selected applicants to provide proof of their eligibility within 3 weeks of the declaration of the result failing which their admission will be canceled.
• Incomplete Admission Forms will be rejected.
• For Foreign/International Applicants please visit the Office of Students Affairs (OSA).
• The applicants are strongly encouraged to take special care of the fee deadlines after getting admission otherwise he or she will be deprived of admission.
• In order to avoid any inconvenience, please submit your Admission Form before the admission closing date.
• The University is authorized to amend its rules including fee any time without prior intimation.
