Program Eligibility
Anthropology
  • Sixteen Years of Education in Anthropology/Sociology/Gender Studies/Behavioral Sciences/Political Science and related disciplines. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. The minimum score required is 50).
Psychology
  • Sixteen Years of Education in Behavioral Sciences or any field of Psychology. A minimum score of 50 in the GAT General Test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) is required.
Master of Science in Business Administration (MS 1.5 years)
  • Sixteen Years of Education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. Minimum score required is 50).
Communication and Media Studies
  • Sixteen Years of Education in Mass Communication/Journalism/Communication and Media Studies/Radio and TV Production/Advertising/PR/Film Production/Computer Arts/Media Production/Fine Arts/Multimedia Arts/Visual Arts and any other relevant social science subjects. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. The minimum score required is 50).
Computer Science
  • Sixteen years of education in Computer Science or relevant disciplines. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. The minimum score required is 50). Classes will begin after 2 pm.
Economics
  • Sixteen Years of Education in Economics Commerce, Accounting and Finance, Economics and Finance, Management Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, Development Studies, Public Policy, Agriculture Economics, and Econometrics. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department). The minimum score required is 50).
International Relations
  • Sixteen years of education in a relevant field like Defense & Diplomatic Studies / International Relations / Defense and Strategic Studies / Pakistan Studies / Political Science / Nuclear and Strategic Studies / Peace and Conflict Studies and relevant subjects. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. The minimum score required is 50).
Gender Studies
  • Sixteen Years of Education in all Social Sciences disciplines. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. The minimum score required is 50).
Environmental Science( Chemistry)
  • Sixteen Years Education in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Soil Science, Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Energy System Engineering, Geophysics, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Polymer and Process Engineering, Materials Sciences, Nanotechnology, Botany. Chemistry
  • Sixteen years of education in chemistry and allied disciplines. A minimum score of 50 in the GAT General Test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) is required.
Islamic Studies
  • Sixteen years of education in Islamic Studies (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. Minimum score required is 50).
Mathematics
  • Sixteen years of education in mathematics. (A minimum score of 50 in the GAT General Test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) is required).
Sociology
  • Sixteen years of education in Sociology, Women's Studies, Gender Studies, Behavioral Sciences, Psychology, Anthropology, Social Work, and Development Studies. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. The minimum score required is 50).
MS in Public Policy & Management
  • Sixteen years of education in Public Policy, Public Administration, Management Sciences, Commerce, Economics, Political Sciences, and any other relevant field. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. The minimum score required is 50).
Public Management
  • Sixteen years of education in Public Administration / Business Administration / B.Com / BBIT / M.Com / Economics / International Relations / Defense & Diplomatic Studies / Political Science and any other relevant field. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. The minimum score required is 50).
Master of Science (MS) Software Engineering
  • Sixteen years of education in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or any other relevant disciplines recognized by the HEC/PEC/NCEAC and any other relevant accreditation bodies. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. The minimum score required is 50).
Master of Science (MS) Data Science
  • Sixteen years of education in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or any other relevant disciplines recognized by the HEC/PEC/NCEAC and any other relevant accreditation bodies. (GAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in a specific written test conducted by the department. The minimum score required is 50).

For Semester System:

  • Minimum CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0 and 3.1 out of 5 in Masters / BS 4 years from any HEC-recognized university / institution.

For Annual System:

  • 1st division in Masters/BS 4 years from any HEC-recognized university/institution for all departments.
  • A minimum score of 50 in the GAT General Test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) is required (except where specific tests will be taken by respective departments).
  • NOC from the employer (if applicable)
  • NB Preference will be given to the students who have a research background.

How to Register

Application Process:

  • The University is accepting online applications for Spring Semester 2025 through the Online Admission Portal ( https://onlineadmission.fjwu.edu.pk/ ), therefore during the application process, the candidates must upload electronic copies of their documents. There is no requirement to send hard copies of the documents/receipts.
  • Once the candidate enters all her information and uploads the required documents on the portal, she can apply in programs. After applying in programs, the application processing fee (non-refundable) can be paid via any online banking app using kuickpay only. The fee paid through any other means will not be acceptable. The application will not be accepted/processed without this fee payment within the due date.
  • Application processing fee (non-refundable) for B.Ed/ MS/ M.Phil./Ph.D. Programs will be Rupees. 1200/- per Degree Program/option.
  • Candidates desiring to apply for more options have to pay another Rupees. 1200/- and so on and so forth. Single challan shall be generated whatever the case will be.
  • Candidates awaiting results must submit their online applications within the due date. Results declared after the submission of the online application can only be entered in the portal by the candidate herself by the notified date on our website.
  • Any kind of tampering in documents will lead to permanent disqualification.
  • Candidates having any foreign degrees/diploma/results in the form of GPA/Grade points are required to upload an equivalence certificate stating percentage/marks.
  • All admissions will be granted provisionally and will be subject to finalization/confirmation only after submission of SSC and HSSC certificates by the candidates, duly attested by IBCC, within 02 weeks of admission.
  • All information / Admission Updates and Interview Lists / Merit Lists will be displayed on the University website. No letters /calls/messages would be sent for admission offers/commencement of classes, etc.
  • All information regarding the Entry Test (if any), Interviews (if any), and Merit Lists will be displayed on the website Schedule for displaying the list for Departmental Specific written test (where applicable) / Interviews / Merit Lists will be available on our website in the 2nd week of January 2025.
  • At least 50% marks in an interview (if applicable) would be required to be considered for the Merit List.
  • Different scholarships for deserving students and on-campus hostel facilities are also available.

Note:

  • MS/M.Phil. Classes in any degree program will not be initiated if the number of enrolled students is less than 5.
  • 02% quota is reserved each for disabled/special persons and minorities.
  • The University reserves the right to increase/decrease/re-offer/withdraw the number of seats in any Department/Degree Program/Campus if required.
