Eligibility
|
Physics |
- MS/MPhil or its equivalent degree in the relevant field along with a thesis, from an accredited educational institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 (Semester System) or 70% (Annual System) marks, with no third division(Annual System) or D grade(Semester System) throughout the Academic career.
- GRE (Subject) as per HEC policy or NTS GAT (Subject) with 60% Marks.

Statistics |
- An MS/M.Phil. degree in Statistics or a closely related field from an accredited institution, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- A valid NTS GAT (Subject) test score with at least 60% marks, or a GRE (Subject) score as per HEC policy.

Economics |
- Minimum 3.0 CGPA out of 4.0 in the Semester System OR First Division in the Annual System in M.Phil./M.S./Equivalent with minimum 6 credit hours research work at MPhil/MS level is required.
- A subject test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) with a minimum of 60% marks is required for admission in PhD Economics Program.

Mathematics |
- An MS/M.Phil. degree with a thesis of 6 credit hours, or an equivalent degree with a thesis of 6 credit hours, in a relevant field from an accredited institution, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- A valid NTS GAT (Subject) test score with at least 60% marks, or a GRE (Subject) score as per HEC policy.

Chemistry |
- MS/MPhil degree in the relevant field from an accredited educational institution, with minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 (semester system) or 70% marks (annual system), and no third division (annual system) or D grade throughout the academic career;
- GRE (subject) as per HEC policy or NTS-GAT (subject) with a minimum score of 60.

Computer Engineering |
- An MS/MPhil with a Thesis/research project or its equivalent degree with a Thesis/research project in the relevant field from an accredited educational institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 under a semester system or 70% under the conventional system with no third division or D grade throughout the academic career.
- GRE (subject) as per HEC policy or GAT (subject) with at least 60% marks.

Management Sciences |
- MS/M. Phil or equivalent degree in the relevant field from accredited institution with CGPA 3.0/4.0 or 70% marks with no third division (or D grade) throughout academic career.
- NTS (subject) test with 60% marks

Computer Science |
- MS/MPhil (18 years of education) or its equivalent degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited institute with minimum 70% marks (annual system) or CGPA 3.0/4.0 (semester system) with no third division or D grade throughout academic career.
- GRE (Subject) as per HEC policy or NTS GAT (Subject) with 60% or higher marks and
- Interview.

Chemical Engineering |
- An MS/MPhil degree in the relevant field from an accredited educational institution, with minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 (semester system) or 70% marks (annual system), and no third division (annual system) or D grade throughout the academic career.
- GRE (subject) as per HEC policy or NTS-GAT (subject) with a minimum score of 60.
- At CUI the admissions into the graduate programs are offered on merit. The merit is determined on the basis of the academic record, GRE/NTS-GAT score and interview.

Electrical Engineering |
- An MS/MPhil with Thesis/research project or its equivalent degree with Thesis/research project in the relevant field from an accredited educational institution with minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 under semester system or 70% under conventional system with no third division or D grade throughout the academic career.
- GRE (subject) as per HEC policy, or GAT (subject) with at least 60% marks.
- For admission in PhD Electrical Engineering Program, any one of the existing GAT (subject) tests in Electrical, Telecom or Electronics Engineering will be acceptable with a minimum score of 60% marks.
